I signed up my daughter with Little Adventures Nursery Victoria Park in September. I was so anxious having not gone back to work after maternity leave and starting a new role - I was a very worried nervous mum!
I can't actually fault the whole team in little adventures, all the girls are so lovely,
such a lovely team.
The app is brilliant it keeps you up to date throughout the day, if I ever have any worries I message and someone will always come back to me within the hour!
I want to give a special mention to one member of staff, my daughter has become so attached to her and its so lovely to see. It really shows how amazing she is at her job and I honestly couldn't feel happier knowing that my daughter is having a great time and being looked after to such a high standard! This staff member is so warming and an absolute asset to your team.
I would recommend Victoria Park to anyone!

I was really anxious to send my son to nursery and worried about whether he would settle however little adventures nursery immediately put me at ease. My son loves the nursery and has settled so quickly. They have been so calm and patient and has come on leaps and bounds in terms of his socialisation
and development.

The nursery is such a wonderful place to send my daughter. It's such a big space and the staff are lovely. My daughter is in the baby room and she has settled in so quickly. They follow what I do at home to the best of their ability. The family app is great. I love seeing my daughter playing with the
staff and the other children.

My family and I are very pleased with how things are going at Little Adventures. The facilities are exceptional. The rooms are vibrant and spacious, the toys and learning resources/equipment are beautiful, and the gardens are excellent. My child always comments on how much they enjoy exploring the garden
and learning outdoors.
The staff are approachable and caring and always have ample time to talk to me regarding my child/any queries I have. I always feel listened to as a parent. The app used to relay information is great. I love the very regular and timely photographic updates. This handy comms channel makes liaising with the team easy and really makes you feel connected to your child and their day.
My favourite thing about this nursery is the mix of activities and projects the children get involved in. The staff seem to really think out of the box, and as such, the children are exposed to lots of super fun and inspiring activities. Overall, my child is so happy here, and I am very glad I enrolled them.

Overall it has been a great first six weeks for my son in tiny travellers. He seems happy when picked up and can't fault the experience we've had so far. The only thing I think could do with some work is the handover when the child is dropped off. There isn't always enough staff to hand over your child
and end up coming into the room as the staff member is juggling a few children some of whom are crying as parents have just left. Totally understand as still setting up but still feels a bit up in the air. Overall I am very happy moving my son to this setting.

I was looking for my child (2) to start nursery in September of 2022. Despite looking around at multiple nurseries around Bridgwater, I just couldn't find something that suited myself or my child. Thankfully, a friend tagged me in a post stating that a new nursery was opening at Victoria Park in September
(What a pot of luck!)


I booked for a view around and I was not disappointed! The things that stood out to me were: the great amount of space inside, the large garden and the very approachable staff (from both a child's and a parent's perspective.) I signed up immediately! The process was very simple and they accommodated mine and my child's needs well.


Despite the slow start to begin with (which is expected,) I have loved watching this nursery come on leaps and bounds in the past few weeks. My child has really come out of their shell, and issues with food that we once had - are no longer an issue, and that's all thanks to the nursery! Well done guys! Amazing nursery!

My daughter has settled in really well and loves to go to nursery each day.
She loves the outside space available and the wide variety of toys.
The nursery has a fab app where you can see what they have eaten, view pictures (which are safely stored for specific parents/carers) and send messages to
staff if needed.

All I can say is amazing! The manager is the sunshine to our morning starts, such an asset to the nursery honestly and the team of ladies are just incredible and the overall environment created for the children is just next level awesome. If I could spend the day there (as a mom) I would. We have felt
so welcomed, so looked after and just all-around fantastic place that feels like an extension of our family. We are so very grateful to Little Adventurers Nursery and we are extremely happy. I do love the app and hope over time there is some more interaction and photo updates - but with saying that, understanding the team are busy with children it's also great to know they aren't always busy on their phones.

Jay

Jay Sparkle

Job Title: Head of Projects

Joined: 2021

Hi, I’m Jay. I joined Little Adventures Nurseries in November 2021 originally as Nursery Development Manager. I am now Head of Projects.


I have been working in the Early Years sector since 2009. During this time, I have held various positions from Nursery Nurse to Head of Operations overseeing several nurseries. Before joining Little Adventures I was a manager of a 129-place nursery. I feel extremely fortunate to work in the Early Years as I know how important these years are for children. I completed my BA (Hons) in Early Years Education in 2017 and this has helped me further my own knowledge of how children learn and develop. I have a passion for ensuring that the teams are trained to a high standard to deliver the best quality care. I have a son of my own so understand how important it is to ensure that you choose the right setting for your children.


In my free time, I like nothing more than exploring with my little family and our collie. We absolutely love baking together, especially the tasting part.

Angelene Mccormack

Job Title: Head of Audits and Training

Joined: 2022

My name is Angelene and I have over 25 years’ experience working within the Early Years Sector. My main experience has been within Nursery settings where I have run busy, Baby Toddler and Pre-Schools rooms. For the past 14 years, I have had Leadership and Management roles including managing a 100 place Ofsted Outstanding Nursery. My experience has enabled me to support, mentor and train staff. I have worked for Little Adventures Nurseries since June 2022. My role is to develop staff training, this is implemented through e-learning modules, company-wide inset days, in-house training for individual settings and specialist training days at our designated Training Hub. I have also obtained my First Aid Instructor qualification so I can ensure all our staff are paediatric first aid trained and confident to administer first aid. My role also includes visiting each nursery at least bi-annually to complete Quality Audits against our company policies and values as well as the Ofsted Grade Descriptors. This part of my role is invaluable face-to-face training to our teams as well as giving quality assurance to our families that our nurseries are sustaining the highest quality of care and standards.
