Happy Little Sunbeams Day Nursery is a wonderful, loving, nurturing and stimulating environment in Middlesbrough, the nursery is an independent, family orientated setting, not a chain.

Staff are fully trained in childcare, first aid, food hygiene and all aspects of safeguarding and the nursery has many awards including: Millie's Mark (where all staff are trained and qualified in paediatric first aid), sendco training, disability confident, food hygiene 5 star, eatwell awards and is a breastfeeding welcome setting.

Happy Little Sunbeams is a community and family orientated establishment, providing support for families to ensure that all needs are met and signposting for support if required.

The nursery strives to ensure that all children in their care achieve the best possible start in life and works closely with parents and carers to do so. They offer full and part time care to children from birth to 13 years old with an outstanding curriculum, including teaching methods such as Monster Phonics and what’s in the bag, and lots of opportunities to learn through play.

They read to the children twice a day and share books with parents to ensure the children enjoy their books at home and can connect the two. They mark every celebration including all cultures and themes, encouraging respect and kindness for every individual. Parents are invited to support the nursery with ideas for topics and are invited to stay and play sessions and coffee mornings. The children get plenty of fresh air and outings to the local park which is 5 minutes away.

The nursery has a cook and 2 cleaners to ensure the children's needs are fully met by providing a healthy home cooked menu and exceptionally clean environment for the children to be in.

Happy Little Sunbeams has a Manager and two Deputy Managers who work hard to offer children the best early years experience.

I am so happy with the service Happy Little Sunbeams Day Nursery has given us. My child absolutely loves going to this nursery because the managers, staff, and key workers are so kind and genuinely care about the children. The reception team is always welcoming and professional, and we always feel at
ease when we walk in.


Everyone at Happy Little Sunbeams Day Nursery is friendly, approachable, and full of positive energy. I noticed a kind of change now, my child is trying to say Daddy, and is always excited to go back the next morning.


I'm incredibly grateful to the key workers for their patience, encouragement, and support. They've helped my child become more independent and cheerful, and it makes me so happy to see them thriving. One of the things I love most is how they always take the time to tell me about my child's day and how they've been.


Choosing Happy Little Sunbeams Day Nursery was the best decision we made, and seeing our child so happy every day proves that.

My son love going there, he's always happy when is time to go there. They're really good at what they do.


He is saying some new words at home, now play with other kids he, doesn't do that before. Points at things and call their name.

I highly recommend this nursery. They helped the transition from mum with ease and have aided my daughter's development massively. She is able to express herself more clearly and has began to explore new textures and tastes (something which we have struggled with since birth). She thoroughly enjoys
her days (as evidenced by photo updates) and is a much more happier, well balanced child since starting nursery. Thank you to the team!

Amazing, friendly, caring and respectful staff. Quality of service is absolutely topnotch. Initially, we had some concerns. However, we were impressed with how the management addressed our concerns. They supported him through this journey with so much love and care. Now our child is back to his happy

I am so happy with the service Happy Little Sunbeams nursery has given us. My child is so happy in this nursery as managers, staff and key persons are lovely and work hard towards my child's development. The receptionists are well trained and we feel welcome all the time when we go inside the nursery.
Everyone at Happy Little Sunbeams are very nice and talkative. Happy Little Sunbeams have really worked hard with her confidence and mixing with her friends. She talks more now and loves coming home telling us what she has done in nursery. When she goes back to nursery the next day she is so excited to get ready for nursery and see all the lovely people that work with her and friends. I am so grateful to the key workers for giving very good support to my child and bringing her confidence up and now she never stops talking. I am glad I choose Happy Little Sunbeams for my daughter as she always got a smile on her face. What I love about this nursery they tell me what she done during her stay.

Absolutely brilliant nursery, all of the staff are lovely and my little boy has settled in so well. He started in September and was a bit nervous at first but he soon got comfortable there and now he absolutely loves it, highly recommend this nursery.

My eldest son attended here and now my youngest attends this setting and they are absolutely amazing. My son has additional needs and the nursery staff are amazing with meeting all of his needs. The staff are all friendly and helpful and go above and beyond for our children and great in supporting parents
too. I wouldn't send my little ones to any other nursery as this one is perfect. Huge thank you to one particular person for making my little ones' experience extra special with so much care and kindness. We thank you all.

Absolutely amazing nursery with wonderful caring staff. The staff are friendly and lovely, my child always looks forward to going to nursery and has learnt so much already! Both of my children have/are attending this nursery. The staff treat us like family. Staff are very honest and open about your child's care and needs and anything concerning behaviour. They are a great support with potty training and to all of the staff they actually care and it's more than just a job

My boy was one when I first put him into nursery. I was so nervous about putting him into a nursery because of all the sad things that you see on the news but this nursery from when we went to view it made me feel so comfortable and reassured about how safe he will be and how they update you with how
many nappy's your baby has and what they were doing and how they have got on on their day. All their staff are the nicest people you could meet and want to take care of your children they always go above and beyond for parent and child. I could not recommend this nursery enough, thank use so much.

My child has been attending Happy Little Sunbeams since she was 9 months old and is now 28 months, she loves going there and has progressed so much throughout her time being there. The staff are amazing and very welcoming. The nursery is always keeping the children active especially through a lot of
outside time such as trips to the shops, parks and much more. The food they provide the children is brilliant and there is always a variety and they are forever getting the children involved with the cooking. Happy Little Sunbeams is an outstanding nursery and I'm so happy my child goes here.

My daughter had been in another nursery all the time. When I took her to the nursery, she would cry. Then I decided to change the nursery, and I came to Happy Little Sunbeams. Since day one, she's been happy and no longer crying; she's very happy. She always asks me to take her every day to nursery.
The nursery is very neat, the food is very nice and very hygienic here, and everything is perfect. The staff are lovely and do a great job. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to attend.

I am satisfied with the care my child receives at Happy Little Sunbeams team. The staff is incredibly nurturing and attentive, always going above and beyond to make sure each child feels safe and loved. The facilities are clean, bright, and filled with engaging activities that foster both learning and
fun.
My child has shown remarkable development in social skills, thanks to the well-structured programs tailored to each age group. The communication from the staff is outstanding; I receive regular updates on my child's progress and any important events.

The staff are so welcoming and their activities are very good. Going to the park and other visits has helped my little girl to learn more about life skills. I recommend them 100%. My little girl is always looking forward to going to school and she won't stop talking about her teachers and friends.

Job Title: Owner/Designated Safeguarding Lead (Level 3 Early Years Educator)

The nursery means so much to me and it was always my passion to own a nursery, previous to this I childminded from my home and this went from strength to strength until I had a waiting list, this prompted me to take the leap and work extremely hard to make the nursery what it is today. I have worked so hard for over 7 years to ensure that we provide the best care for all of the children we care for with my amazing team of staff. My first priority is to ensure all our children and parents are happy when they join us, we work closely with parents and carers to ensure they are as involved as much as possible in the care we deliver. I love to provide lots of experiences for the children and ensure my staff feel the same way, I have extremely high standards and my staff follow this ethos. I worked in the Probation Service for 20 years and loved working with families ensuring that I provided the best support for the families and children I worked with, this role gave me insight into child protection and managing risks accordingly. I love all of the children in our nursery and love to spend time with them, I try to provide the best resources and experiences for your children. I operate an inclusive approach and a very transparent approach to everything we do and I genuinely get upset if we fall short of anything, I am always open to suggestions and constructive feedback.

Hello, my name is Zoe and I am a Deputy Manager and Health and Safety Lead at Happy Little Sunbeams; I have worked at the nursery for over four years now and initially started as a Nursery Assistant. I am very passionate about providing high-quality care and education to all children who attend the setting, ensuring staff are aware of each child’s individual needs and learning journeys to ensure they support the children in their care in achieving their developmental milestones via effective curriculum planning in which covers all 7 areas of learning in the EYFS. I am very eager to develop my knowledge and skills and undertake continuous professional development at any given opportunity to ensure I share my best practice with the rest of the staff at the nursery. Hello, my name is Delta, I am a Room Leader at Happy Little Sunbeams and have been here for almost 3 years now. I have three children and ever since I was a child, it was my dream to pursue a job as a Child Psychologist.

Growing up, I had many babysitting jobs; I used to babysit for neighbours as well as family and I loved it! I carried out a placement in a primary school whilst at secondary school and after my work experience ended, I continued to attend each day for one hour for almost one year as I worked closely with a child who had learning difficulties. I used the dot-to-dot letter formation technique to support the child to write their name and watch how proud the child was and how overjoyed the parents were, this was the moment I knew I wanted to work with children to support them to thrive in life!
