Sunbeams Nursery is located in Shipley town centre, providing contemporary Early Years Education and Care. Ofsted rated the setting as ‘Good’ in all areas in their latest inspection (May 2022).

The nursery is designed to support each child’s development from 5 months to 5 years. The team is dedicated to providing the best possible childcare for families in the local community.

The team at Sunbeams Nursery and Preschool are passionate about the development of every child in their care, and strive to nurture a love of learning, fun, creativity and exploration. They focus on the Early-Years learning curriculum to support children as they progress through their early years and ensure they are prepared and ready for the next development stages in life.

Sunbeams Nursery provides a safe, exciting and enjoyable environment where children thrive as they learn through play-based learning. The nursery is all set on one level. Each rooms has been lovingly crafted into a stimulating and inspiring learning environment that offers a wide variety of resources and activities to suit each age-group. There is a large outdoor play-area, which offers plentiful opportunity for gardening and imaginative play. Children love exploring the garden, with a variety of areas such as the cosy reading shed, the mud kitchen hut and the popular outdoor water play.

My son started at Sunbeams in May 2024, as we moved he had to readapt to this new nursery.
The team has been fantastic with him! They've been welcoming him and reassuring him so that he could feel more confident.
He's progressing so much since, he's becoming more and more autonomous, and he's learning
words and skills.
The team also helps him to develop his logic and his creativity, as he's part French, the team makes the effort to say a few words in French which is really appreciated.
I know he's safe at Sunbeams and it's one of the most important things as a parent.
I'm really happy with all the work the team is doing, and my son he's so happy too.

Our daughter has now been attending Sunbeams for over three years and has been in all three rooms. She continues to thrive and absolutely loves the nursery and the friends she has made there. The staff are all incredibly friendly and supportive and have been really helpful with the issues we've had
with toilet training. I'm sure our daughter will be devastated to leave when it's time for her to start school, but we've already decided to stick with Sunbeams for her sibling due in the summer, so we look forward to another three years of working with the manager and all the girls!

Our experience with Sunbeam Nursery has been extraordinary. Our girls that currently go there genuinely love all their key workers and staff. Their time is packed full of learning and fun activities. Our girls explain how much they love nursery. They want to go on their day off just to see their key
workers and other kids in their class.
As parents who work full time, it is nice to know that they're in safe hands when you're not with them.
As parents, we also get support from the manager in relation to funding, holidays, etc.
What a lovely nursery, with great staff, facilities that will teach kids, a great support network, and a fun place to be.

My son absolutely loves Sunbeams. He walks in with a big smile on his face in the morning and is always very happily playing when I pick him up. Our daughter joined Sunbeams in the plum room last summer and has flourished. The staff are welcoming, kind, and supportive and we are kept well informed on her progress and well-being at daily handovers at pickup and through the app for parents. They are extremely creative there and she is never bored,

I have my son coming to this Nursery and it has been a fantastic experience. The manager and staff are very helpful with any issues I may have. It is always resolved. Amazing staff always kind, understanding and friendly. Willing to keep you updated with anything that is happening at the nursery as well as on how our son was doing with the parent zone app which always helped me when I was working, especially as a first time mum. They are always helpful with any questions

My 2.5-year-old has been really settled at nursery. He has a good relationship with his key worker and talks about her and his friends at home and sings songs he has learned there. Nursery staff have been really supportive of potty training and give a really clear handover at the end of each session.

My son has come on so much since he started a year ago, especially since going into the plum room his speech has come on so much. He loves the football he plays. Every time he's happy to see one lady in particular every time we arrive big smiles every time. His key workers are really great with telling
him they tell us everything he has done for the day, even uploading pictures for us to see. Overall the best nursery.

My son has recently transitioned from half days to full days with no problems. With my son still breastfeeding, I was nervous this would not be the case but the staff kept him stimulated and entertained all day. He is extremely active, climbs a lot, and needs to always be doing something whether that's
figuring something out or being mentally stimulated which the staff at Sunbeams are excellent at doing. He's coming on leaps and bounds and so happy he's in a place that encourages him and keeps him safe!

We've had both our children attend Sunbeams so been with them since the first covid lockdown when my daughter was 10 months old, and it is a really great nursery. Love the staff, the activities, and the care they provide and my children have loved being there. Would recommend it to anyone who is thinking

My little boy has been going to SunBeams for 2 years now, with 15 free hours spread over Weds, Thurs, and Fridays, Sunbeams was more than accommodating with this for us. Excellent nursery, my child is always happy when I drop them off and pick them up. I love that as a parent I can see my child's progress since starting this nursery. Fantastic nursery, with lovely and attentive staff. My two children settled in so quickly and enjoy attending. When we drive past on off days, they shout "Sunbeams!".
The soft play facilities and pet guinea pigs make it a really special nursery. My children enjoy the food and daily activities, as well

All the girls are amazing at sunbeams!
They ensure all children are safe and happy while in their care. The support they offer to parents is more than expected!
I have 2 children who attend Sunbeams Nursery, both in different rooms and I am more than happy with the two key workers my children have
they are both amazing girls are answer all of my questions about my children.
Both of my children come home each day so happy and that is heart warming knowing they are having fun as well as learning whilst in Sunbeam Care.
The manager and the deputy manager are so amazing when it comes to queries within the nursery, they have supported me as a parent several times and I could not thank them enough!
I could not think of a better nursery to send my children! All of the girls who work at Sunbeams work very hard to ensure all of the children are meeting their needs and giving them a little push if needed.

Sunbeams has been a great place for our child, who was initially upset about going in but overcame this with support from the staff.
Our child loves her days at Sunbeams; she engages very well with activities and has made friends quickly. The facilities and use of space is very good and the children
spend a lot of time outside having fun.
Staff always give us detailed feedback on how our child's day went, and what they ate and bring up any concerns in a constructive way - not just from their key worker but across all staff there.
