Sunbeams Nursery is located in Shipley town centre, providing contemporary Early Years Education and Care. Ofsted rated the setting as ‘Good’ in all areas in their latest inspection (May 2022).

The nursery is designed to support each child’s development from 5 months to 5 years. The team is dedicated to providing the best possible childcare for families in the local community.

The team at Sunbeams Nursery and Preschool are passionate about the development of every child in their care, and strive to nurture a love of learning, fun, creativity and exploration. They focus on the Early-Years learning curriculum to support children as they progress through their early years and ensure they are prepared and ready for the next development stages in life.

Sunbeams Nursery provides a safe, exciting and enjoyable environment where children thrive as they learn through play-based learning. The nursery is all set on one level. Each rooms has been lovingly crafted into a stimulating and inspiring learning environment that offers a wide variety of resources and activities to suit each age-group. There is a large outdoor play-area, which offers plentiful opportunity for gardening and imaginative play. Children love exploring the garden, with a variety of areas such as the cosy reading shed, the mud kitchen hut and the popular outdoor water play.

Sunbeams is based in the town centre of Shipley and has lots of available car parking outside.

My little one is still thriving at nursery. He's talking loads and continues to build bonds with his friends and staff. All the staff are friendly and helpful. My little one never goes hungry as the food is always fresh on the day and delicious.

My son previously went to another nursery and didn't settle there, he is so much happier at Sunbeams! The warmth of the staff and the atmosphere in the room is lovely. The staff have really got to know who my son is, his likes and dislikes, and it's been lovely to see him blossom. The activities they
do are great and I get lots of information about what he's been up to - the ball pool is also a big bonus for my son!

My daughter first started at Sunbeams when she was 11 months old, she is now 3 and has therefore experienced all 3 rooms. Staff are very friendly and the activities they do with the children are very engaging to support their development. They have a varied menu which my daughter enjoys. Sunbeams are
always looking for ways to update their provision and they take onboard parent's feedback. Most importantly, I know that my child is safe and happy whilst in their care.

Moving from South Africa has been stressful and busy. Sunbeams has been a lifesaver. It's a place where my daughter can play and learn. The Sunbeams Nursery has really supported my daughter's transition from South Africa. They are lovely, warm and caring people. She is very excited to go to school in

Fantastic nursery! Staff are so kind, caring, loving and accommodating. My son has been coming for nearly a year and he is so happy and confident. Sunbeams show a lot of respect to the children and parents. They cater to all children's needs.

I can not recommend this nursery enough! My little boy started at Sunbeams when he was 10 months old and is due to leave for school in July. The journey he has had through the years at the nursery has had a massive effect on his development, He's striving in all areas and the staff's passion and dedication
has been a massive part of that. Being a first-time mum, different stages of a toddler can be daunting from weaning, potty training and emotional development but the staff have always been great in listening to my queries and concerns and guided/provided me with assurance professionally. I love how the nursery are now getting my little boy ready for school by installing small responsibilities such as making sure they have their own bottles ready to take home etc. He loves going to nursery every single day, spending time with his friends, learning and comes home with a smile on his face. If you want a nursery that puts the children's needs first, then this is 100% the place for you.

Such a wonderful nursery! The staff are all amazing and wonderfully natured, experienced and professional. He has truly enjoyed his time here since coming at 9 months old! And we will be really sad to leave! The learning and play have all been amazing, the management of the nursery and I can genuinely
say I have never had any problems. Thank you to all the staff in each room and everyone who has been a part of his life during his time at Sunbeams.

My son started here in August 2023, he absolutely loves it here. He's always having fun playing and doing lots of activities and things to bring home and the staff always update the app and show us pictures of his achievements. He goes out to classes with staff, the staff are always so welcome and bubbly
and always happy to see every child. I have never had an issue, even when staff have moved and new have arrived, they are always communicating with parents. His key worker is fab with him and he is progressing so well. Highly recommend.

It’s just a horrible experience. Strictly not recommended; completely unprofessional! Unstoppable missing items, careless, ignored your wishes! I made a mistake when I brought my son there, he is my first child and I never had experience with childcare before, was I supposed to check or something? But
the more he went there the more angry for this place I became! I'm really unlucky because I couldn’t find anything new, all schools were busy and we are about to finish this horrible place and go to proper school! I didn’t want to leave a bad review as I’m busy but again I got problems from them! Maybe my review will help the parents not to make mistakes and do not bring the child there if you want a proper professional childcare!

My daughter started here in September, we moved from a much more expensive nursery in Leeds due to relocating. I was worried before we started but the staff and the learning environment at Sunbeams really are amazing. I would personally recommend this place to anyone in the local area!

We could not be happier with our experience of this nursery. Our daughter loves going to nursery; she has grown in confidence and is more than ready to start school in September. She’s been well supported by not only her key workers but all the staff. Every morning we are greeted with a big welcoming
smile from the staff, and I never worry about her being happy and looked after, even on days she might be a little off. The communication from the staff is brilliant and always positive; they are flexible and understanding too. My favourite thing about the nursery is the amount of effort that goes into making sure the children have different experiences, for example, exploring different cultures, trips to the park, road safety, visiting the library, swimming and football; they are always doing something new and exciting.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. My daughter attended here from two years old, and after having such a bad experience at her previous nursery, I was nervous for her to start, but within a few weeks of her being there, she was so settled and thriving so much! The staff were very reassuring and helped her
flourish and grow! I honestly couldn’t recommend the nursery enough, staff and management are a fabulous team!

Completely amazing nursery - all the staff are fantastic and well-mannered, kind, caring and respectful towards all parents and children.
My daughter absolutely loves it here; she used to dislike leaving me in the morning but now walks straight in and comes home talking about her day with a huge smile
on her face. She has progressed so well since starting nursery in all areas and is becoming very independent. I am very thankful to all the staff for all their hard work and support.

We are so pleased that we found Sunbeams for our 2-year-old twins. Being lockdown babies, they were a bit nervous about new situations and people, so we were a bit unsure as to how they were going to take to be in a childcare setting. However, the lovely, friendly staff at Sunbeams have helped them
to settle in really well, and we have seen our twins thrive and learn so much in the past few weeks. Our twins love going to nursery, and we feel really reassured that they are safe and happy at Sunbeams.

My child attended Sunbeams Nursery in Shipley from 11 months until she started school at age 4. I can't rate the nursery highly enough. I always felt my child was safe, happy, and nurtured by staff, delighting in her achievements. Staff are nurturing and go over and above. Lots of fun activities throughout
the year and regular visits to the park and library. Lovely setting with a lot of thought and care put into the play areas and rooms.
