Sunbeams Nursery is located in Shipley town centre, providing contemporary Early Years Education and Care. Ofsted rated the setting as ‘Good’ in all areas in their latest inspection (May 2022).

The nursery is designed to support each child’s development from 5 months to 5 years. The team is dedicated to providing the best possible childcare for families in the local community.

The team at Sunbeams Nursery and Preschool are passionate about the development of every child in their care, and strive to nurture a love of learning, fun, creativity and exploration. They focus on the Early-Years learning curriculum to support children as they progress through their early years and ensure they are prepared and ready for the next development stages in life.

Sunbeams Nursery provides a safe, exciting and enjoyable environment where children thrive as they learn through play-based learning. The nursery is all set on one level. Each rooms has been lovingly crafted into a stimulating and inspiring learning environment that offers a wide variety of resources and activities to suit each age-group. There is a large outdoor play-area, which offers plentiful opportunity for gardening and imaginative play. Children love exploring the garden, with a variety of areas such as the cosy reading shed, the mud kitchen hut and the popular outdoor water play.

Sunbeams is based in the town centre of Shipley and has lots of available car parking outside.

My son attended this 'nursery' for 6 months. They didn't pick up his autism, they left him playing on his own, not knowing where he was on more than one occasion at pick up. They shared confidential health information with my son's grandparents, which although they knew about, the 'nursery' doesn't
know this.
The manager is totally unprofessional and argued with me over email and then told my next-door neighbour confidential information about me and my son.
I've since spoken to parents at my son's school who had similar issues!

My child started at Sunbeams last August when he was 11 months, and due to the lockdown, he was very attached to myself, so I was very nervous about choosing the right nursery for him. When we went to go look around Sunbeams, I could instantly tell how well the children were cared for. Also, the baby
room is also the whole of the top floor comprising of a physical room, a calm room and an activity room, which I also loved. He did a couple of settling-in visits, and by the end of his first week, there were no tears. He attends mornings only, and while I'm at work, I will often get 2-3 updates/observations via the app updating me about all the exciting things he has been learning that day. You also get a sheet at the end of each session, which states how many nappy changes, how much he has eaten and what he's been doing that morning. He is about to start in the toddler room soon, and I can't thank the staff enough in the baby room for all they have done for him.

Fantastic nursery! My son started when he was 10 months and has come along leaps and bounds over the last year and a half. He loves going to the nursery and has a great bond with all staff members. His development and confidence have also come along, which nursery has a huge part towards. Would highly
recommend - all staff are friendly, and it feels like one big family.

This nursery has been a home-from-home safe place for all three of my grandchildren.
They have grown, nourished and thrived in this place through the commitment and hard work of the staff.

This is a great nursery. Everyone is so helpful and kind. My youngest joined when she was 9 months old. I was worried that it wasn't going to be as personal as a childminder, but everyone was great, and the results are brilliant; she has really thrived here. She is now confident and outgoing. The kids
make such a connection to the staff, which is great to see. One of my children has just left to go to school, and she will miss everyone so much. She loved her pear patch and everyone in it, and they made sure she was ready to move up to school, which has made the transition so easy for us all.

My little girl has been going here since March, and she has come on leaps and bounds with her manners, sharing, eating and her talking. She's constantly singing her nursery songs and is so excited to go to nursery now. They have an amazing team who are so caring and always has smiles on their faces.

Both my children have attended this nursery. My youngest has just left to attend school, and I couldn't be more grateful for the hard work, love and care all the staff have given my children over the past five years. They always welcome you with a smile and are such warm and friendly people.

Sunbeams is a brilliant nursery. The amazing staff go above and beyond for the children and parents. My daughter fully enjoyed her time there, and now my nephew is also enjoying his time here. Sunbeams is a great place for children to grow, learn and have lots of fun.
