My son who is now 6 and daughter age 2 have both attended roundabouts and our experience has been nothing short of outstanding throughout. The nursery staff exceed their roles daily and create strong personal relationships with the children, parents and families. I feel completely reassured and comfortable
leaving my children in the care of the nursery and confident in the service they receive. As a parent I have been massively supported by the nursery and included in my children’s journeys, the developmental benefit of my children attending from a young age (approximately 1 years old) is very noticeable and has quickly improved many aspects of their learning and progression which is recorded by the nursery and accessible for parents. Nothing is too much to ask and we are very grateful to roundabouts for being such a big part in our lives and leaving the memories and positive experience they have, which will always be remembered.

This nursery has been absolutely wonderful for our grandson. They have really cared for him. He loves going there. They feed him healthy and nutritious food (which he eats because everyone else does). Brilliant! And they do not use screens which I also super appreciate. I personally don't want him being
sat in front of a screen at this stage in his life. He comes back singing new songs and constantly using new words that I'm often quite impressed with.
I have met the owner of the nursery, she is lovely and I can tell that her own very high standards are put into the care of the children in her nursery.
The nursery staff are well chosen and are all lovely. A definite family feel to the place. I wouldn't send my grandson anywhere else.
Calm, organised, clean, purposeful, warm and caring is how I would describe this nursery.

Excellent nursery!
Staff are really friendly and helpful. My daughter has been attending since she was one and loves going; she even asks on her days off to go. There are lots of different activities for the children to do each week, including moo music. I would highly recommend.

My daughter only attends Roundabouts Day Nursery for one day per week but despite this, I feel the staff in her room all know her incredibly well. The support they offer within the setting is amazing. There are updates on the app throughout the day so I know when she’s been fed, changed, had a nap etc.
and you always get a really good handover at the end of the day. My daughter loves coming to nursery and is always happy to be handed over. The facilities are lovely, well looked after and well rotated. The staff are so positive and supportive, especially when it comes to additional needs, and the Senco is supportive and positive which is really welcomed as a parent. I cannot recommend Roundabouts Shavington enough.

Excellent nursery. Staff are great, very knowledgeable and attentive to the children. My daughter has been attending since she was nine months old, and I have always felt that she is safe, looked after and happy. Meals provided are varied and interesting. If I have ever raised a concern, it has been
addressed quickly and has been dealt with seriously, even if I felt it was something minor. The setting is expensive but not above market value. I would say it is of good value when compared to other settings in the area, considering the facilities, staff, level of care and quality of what they do with them.

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.946)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.946) out of 10 for Roundabouts Day Nursery Shavington is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

The Average Rating of 5.000 for Roundabouts Day Nursery Shavington is calculated as follows: ( (60 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 60 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.946 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Roundabouts Day Nursery Shavington is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 56 number of registered child places is 11.2. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 11.2 = 0.446

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
