Perfect Start Day Nursery - Burgess Hill is a beautifully refurbished nursery catering for children from 6 weeks to five years. It boasts a unique indoor and outdoor garden that can be used all year around, even in extreme weather.

The nursery, including the indoor part of the garden is fully air conditioned.

A naturally lit atrium leads the way to the children’s rooms, which are all covered by CCTV for extra re-assurance.

The nursery includes a fantastic range of premium-quality equipment for the children to use and has plenty of space for them to explore, develop and grow.

There is a separate Parent Room in which parents can watch their children settle into nursery on CCTV whilst enjoying a relaxing warm drink.

Everything has been thought through very carefully to give a premium experience for all of the families at the nursery.

The nursery is fantastic
Everyone seems to know my little ones name even though she is not in their rooms
They have created a very safe fun space for my daughter to learn and thrive
She has picked up so many skills, and the staff know her so well they can tell when she is a little under the weather
or needs a little more attention. She is very independent since joining nursery, and there always seems to be new toys and activities for our little ones. Thank you all

My 6 month old baby started nursery in January 2025, the staff have been nothing short of amazing of helping to support her and to settle into a new routine.
As well as clear communication from both management and the room on a daily basis.
Events are set up for parents to have involvement with
supporting child development.

Since my son has started at Perfect Start he has come on so much as a little person. He loves all his key workers and his new friends. The facilities are by far the best I've seen in a nursery and everyone is so so friendly. I couldn't feel safer leaving him there each day knowing he's going to have
the best day! Highly highly recommend.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Perfect Start Nursery in Burgess Hill! From day one, the communication with the team has been outstanding. We always feel well-informed about our child's progress and daily activities, which gives us great peace of mind.
The entire staff are incredibly
friendly and welcoming. The manager has been especially wonderful- her warm and approachable nature really sets the tone for the whole nursery. In the baby room, two members of staff have been absolute stars. Their genuine care and attention to detail ensure that our little one are always happy and engaged.

The best nursery in the area. We tried another in Burgess Hill before finding this one and they are worlds apart. The facilities are incredible. The team are always so positive and happy to help and give lots of information about our son's day. They eat really well and always allow our son to have seconds
if he needs. We were initially worried the tea time food would not be enough as it is considered snacky like pittas and veg sticks but they often do more substantial meals and again always allow for seconds if needed. The garden facilities are amazing. They have an indoor and outdoor garden so even when it's tipping down they can go play on the jungle gym. They visit the sensory room as well where they have lots of toys and interactive lights. And it's so clean! We can't fault them. Our son will be 2 in November. I don't think he would be doing so well with his speech either if it wasn't for them. They really care!

Thank you for working with us to settle our child into the new surroundings. The staff have all been so lovely and reassuring through the transition from home to daycare. It’s lovely we can pick the phone up and ask how our baby is getting on through the day.

This was my daughter’s first ever nursery she went to, and it took a lot of time for her to settle in the beginning, but now it’s been six months, and she’s doing great for the last four months. She loves going to nursery and never says no. Always comes home happy and chirpy. She also likes the food
which is served. So many activities to do - keep her busy all day. The nursery staff is very supportive and accommodates any request from the parent - I requested to give my daughter warm milk as she likes it that way, so they took care of it. Thank you, everyone at Perfect Start, for taking care of my daughter.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, we knew we had found something truly special.
The staff at the nursery are friendly and welcoming. They truly make you feel like part of the family.
The facilities are outstanding, providing a safe and stimulating space for children to learn, play, and
grow. We are constantly amazed by the variety of activities and resources available, tailored to suit each child's individual needs and interests.
Communication with the staff is seamless, with regular updates on our daughter's progress and well-being. It's incredibly reassuring to know that she is in such capable hands.

Couldn’t fault Perfect Start Nursery enough. My little one has come on so much since attending. His speaking, his actions, he dances, laughs, understands so much and it’s really brought him out of his shell.
The staff are just amazing, I don’t have a bad thing to say, you can just generally see they
care so much. My little one absolutely adores them. One staff member in particular, I think my boy feels she’s his second mum and I am so thankful I can drop him and feel at ease straight away. I feel he really is so looked after. My friends that have had babies I’ve recommended the nursery to them as I just love everything about it.

The standard of care from the staff is outstanding. The facilities are wonderful. The place is always clean and tidy unless there is deliberate messy/creative play happening. Highly recommend Perfect Start Nursery. My baby has been coming since 11 months. The staff are kind and caring and ensured my little one was happy throughout the settle sessions. They do plenty of exploring and activities all day to keep the children engaged and entertained. The indoor garden is great
with a big climbing frame to burn off energy when it’s too cold/wet/slippy for outside play.

My daughter started in the younger baby room last year, my eldest daughter previously went to the Perfect Start in Bolnore Village which was wonderful so we have a good affiliation with the company. I admit I was a bit apprehensive about my little one attending the Burgess Hill branch as it was so new
but I am delighted to say it has surpassed my expectations! The staff are so wonderful, they get to know each child at an individual level. It is really reassuring to know my daughter is cared for by such a competent and caring team who take great pride in what they do. I am always amazed at how calm the room is with so many young babies it’s a wonderful environment for little ones to thrive in.
Also, the facilities are lovely with a baby sensory room and indoor garden!

Lovely new nursery.
The rooms are large and bright with an airy feeling, especially the toddler and pre-school rooms. There are a lot of stimulating things to play with. The indoor play area is truly amazing and something I have not seen in any nurseries. The sensory room is also great with all children
having a chance to spend some time in there.
The staff are lovely and enthusiastic and work hard to keep the children entertained. For toddlers and preschoolers, the day is packed full of different fun things from making cookies to water play.

We recently moved to the area and Perfect Start was recommended. I met the manager and she was kind and genuinely made me feel at ease. Moving in itself is a big change for everyone, especially toddlers but the manager and her staff are doing their utmost to help settle both my children. My little girl
except for some initial tears is very happy in the toddler's room and loves the freedom to play and paint. The staff are down to earth and kind and I can see this reflected in my daughter’s contentment. My son is taking time to adjust and the staff are open to trying ways to help him feel safe and at home. They are patient and kind and whilst I know this will take time due to my son’s personality I am hopeful he will settle and grow to love pre-school. Overall my experience of the nursery has been positive. All staff are friendly and kind and the entire building is clean and has a homely feel. The outdoor space is both my children’s favourite and they love the soft play area.

My almost 3 year old son joined Perfect Start in Burgess Hill in September and he loves it! As parents we were worried about the transition from his previous nursery but all the staff has been amazing since day one and helped him a lot during the first few weeks to make the initial period as smooth
as possible for him. He is now completely adjusted and enjoys going to nursery each morning. All staff is super friendly and caring and they do a lot of different activities with the children and teach them about different subjects. The nursery has great spacious and bright areas, a wide variety of toys and books, and an amazing soft play area in the indoor garden, as well as an outdoor area. It's reassuring to know that our son is happy and has a great time at nursery and that he is being taken care of by a great professional team. Highly recommend Perfect Start at Burgess Hill.
