A unique, one of a kind nursery providing exclusive 1:3 child to adult care for your child, for all age groups.

The nursery is based in Nottingham, on the route into the city centre. They offer full day sessions from 8:00 until 17:00 Monday-Friday; they do not offer half day sessions.

This purpose built nursery is designed around the 7 areas of learning from the Early Years Curriculum, ensuring your child will grow and learn in all areas of development. TFTF Tots is an interest based nursery, that means the highly-trained staff will use your child's interests to frame their planning. By doing this the staff can provide your child with activities to learn, that are linked to a bespoke curriculum and also your child's likes and interests.

TFTF Tots believes learning goes beyond the nursery which is why they go on a daily outing. This daily outing may be to the local park to develop physical skills and see insects in their natural habitat, it could be to the local library to harness a love for literacy, or even the local shop to buy baking ingredients. Real life learning, everyday.

TFTF Tots is a small nursery, holding only 9 children a day, this ensures the staff can provide high quality care and interactions for your child.

Being a small nursery ensures that staff can devote more time and dedication to your child and their development, and also you as a family. The unique set up allows the team to remain on a 1:3 ratio at all times, even when your child gets older unlike other nurseries.

Parent partnership is at the heart of TFTF Tots, they believe that by working with and alongside parents it gives children the best start in life, TFTF Tots are not only there to support your child during their time at nursery but also you as parents.

I wrote a review 18 months after they first opened and here's my update: still amazing! They only have a total of 14 kids across all the days, so there's a limit to how many reviews they will get; I hope nobody minds me adding a review of my 4-year-old at Think For The Future after already doing a review
when he was 2!
The manager and co are so on top of things. My son is autistic and they've been amazing about helping me get him a diagnosis. They recently arranged for an Ed Psych to come and see him at nursery, and her report really highlighted how amazing they are with him. They're great at preventing him from becoming dysregulated in the first place, and are nurturing his friendships within the nursery. He's very well supported in gaining the social skills he needs for healthy relationships with his peers. When he does get dysregulated they are brilliant at helping him find his equilibrium again.
I've asked them if they will keep him until he's 18 instead of him needing to go to school but unfortunately not!

Think for the Future Tots is an amazing nursery in every way. My grandson has been there for nearly 2 years and has come on in leaps and bounds in every aspect. The staff are committed and friendly. Their personalised tracking of progress is exemplary. The daily trips are varied and themed always with
a focus on educational development. The link with the local community garden is fantastic and the very best use of it is made. The range of activities they do with the children is extensive and very imaginative. The staff are very aware of the curriculum they are following. The recording of progress via the app is positive and thorough and gives a lovely insight into the daily life of the nursery. All in all, I am very impressed and satisfied with the nursery and would recommend it very highly indeed.

I feel confident in leaving my child at the nursery knowing he will be well looked after for the day. Staff are so good with him, and have been an excellent help in terms of helping him with his speech development, as when he first started he could hardly say 1 word and now he is a lot closer to soon
be talking! I would highly recommend this nursery, it will give your child a good foundation to progress successfully onto school.

Our super-sensitive 3-year-old daughter has the best time at Think For The Future Tots! Every time we pick her up and ask, 'Were you happy at nursery today?' her joyful answer is always, 'happy!' She is so well cared for by the fantastic team, and it's clear they truly understand and support her unique
needs. Couldn't ask for a better place!

Think For The Future Tots is such a wonderful nursery. As a smaller provider, it really is a calm, welcoming, warm and nurturing environment. We couldn't ask for anything more for our little one. She is full of smiles at the end of the day thanks to the incredible staff and the facilities are top quality.
We love that they make an outing part of the day. We have every confidence that our daughter is not only extremely well looked after, but she is having fun and being supported brilliantly in her early years. Thank you for everything, Think For The Future Tots!

We've been really impressed with Think For The Future Tots. The staffing team is knowledgeable and welcoming and has kept myself and my partner informed at every step of the process. Being a small nursery, I feel like the staff know my little one so well and are able to cater to his needs at every step
of his journey. The nursery, resources and activities are all such high quality and there is such a lovely warm, family feeling to the setting. Even though there isn't an outside space on the premises, they take the children on an outing around the local community every day, doing a big range of different activities, which I love hearing about! Finally, the cost is really reasonable for the high-quality setting.

Think For The Future Tots nursery has made what can be a difficult and stressful process so, so easy! I was worried throughout my pregnancy about finding a nursery setting which would be able to provide nurturing support for my baby in a calm home-from-home setting but Think For The Future Tots ticks
all the boxes.
From the beginning of the process, the manager has been so reassuring and you can tell she has thought through every aspect of the nursery she has created. From the toys and resources to the daily outings, everything is evidence-based and child-focused. Her passion for supporting parents with their children in the early years is amazing, she knows the children and families inside out!
We are so excited to be part of the Think For The Future Tots family and would recommend it to anyone who wants a calm, nurturing place for their child.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.557)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.557) out of 10 for Think For The Future Tots is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.6 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.957 for Think For The Future Tots is calculated as follows: ( (66 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 69 Ratings = 4.957

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.6 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Think For The Future Tots is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 9 number of registered child places is 1.8, which has been reached with 6 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Hello! I'm Ellie Nursery Director for Think for the Future Tots.

I've always loved working with children, I began my childcare journey whilst volunteering in an orphanage in Peru, and once I returned I immediately enrolled at University to get my degree in Early Childhood Studies. Whilst at University I also did some teaching in Milan, which started my love of researching how childhood is different across the world. My international experiences enable me to use knowledge from across the globe to enhance my practice.

I have previously worked with a variety of ages, from babies to older children; before TFTF Tots I managed a busy preschool.

I have a love for the outdoors and think the outdoor play is vital for young children, I am a qualified Forest School Leader which shapes my practice with children.

My favourite part of my job, apart from seeing happy faces on the children, is connecting with the families, I love to put on events for the entire family to be involved in, as after all, we are guiding your child's development together.

Hi, I'm Sarah. I used to be a primary school teacher but now work as a nursery practitioner for TFTF Tots. I have always wanted to work with children, taking Early Childhood Education modules throughout my French degree, and taught English Language across several nurseries and primary schools for a year in the South of France.
After doing my PGCE and working as a KS2 teacher I wanted a more child-led role which brought me to TFTF Tots. My experience as a teacher, alongside my education, has given me the understanding of how to create the best start for a child's education.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, I love that I can share my knowledge and passion for nurturing nature with all our children, both through nature-based activities and hands-on experience of observing, sowing and growing in our allotment planter.
