Mickle Trafford is a village nursery providing a nurturing environment for children 0-5 years, nestled in the heart of a charming community, with room for 54 little learners. It is a place where laughter and curiosity fill the air. The rooms are natural, neutral and welcoming with displays adorned with children’s artwork. There is a spacious outdoor area with a mud kitchen and forest school which is a haven for exploring young minds. The dedicated team foster a love for learning in the youngest members of the village.                
                                                
Baby room for 0-2 years olds is a haven for the tiniest members. Designed with utmost care, it’s a warm and cosy space where each child’s unique needs are met. Soft, natural colours create a soothing atmosphere, with age appropriate resources encouraging exploration and discovery. Caring experienced staff and a nurturing environment for their early development. It’s a place where first steps, giggles and babbling words mark the incredible journey of the youngest residents.

Toddler room for 2 year olds is a safe, stimulating space designed to nurture curiosity and support early development. With soft rounded furniture and child proofed areas, the room offers an environment where little ones can explore, play, and learn. Neutral colours, sensory play and interactive learning tools invite toddlers to engage with their surroundings, fostering both creativity and cognitive growth. Cosy corners for rest, along with playful and educational toys, encourage exploration while promoting PSED.

Preschool, children aged 3-5 years, space is thoughtfully designed to ignite young minds. The natural room is filled with learning materials, sparking curiosity and creativity. The dedicated team inspires a love for exploration through the EYFS laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning. It’s where friendships blossom and young imaginations take flight as the little learners prepare for their journey a head.

My daughter has spent 1 month now at Mickle Trafford Preschool and has settled in great. The staff are warm and welcoming. I get a good account of what she has done in the day. She has been really happy there so far.

Great, great, simply great nursery!
The staff is amazing, all of them are always friendly and reliable, always smiling, and the atmosphere for my 1-year-old baby is amazing.
My baby had enough time for settling down and getting to know the girls working there. We had a very smooth transition and the
development my baby girl shows is excellent.
So many activities for all ages, nice food, and a great attitude.

Staff are great. My two children are happy going in every morning after only being there a short while. Staff are very helpful and go off my lead as a parent. My children are in different rooms but they are allowed to visit each other at times when they want to. Really happy with the pre-school.

My little boy started here in September 2023 and he has come on leaps and bounds, when he started his speech wasn't great but within a couple of months, everyone was already noticing the change it was amazing. He also has a rare genetic disorder which has been very hard for us as parents to put our
trust in other people to look after him but we're so glad we did as all the girls have been absolutely fantastic with him and I honestly know he's in safe hands at Mickle Trafford.

Satisfied, both children are happy and enjoy going to pre-school.
I would appreciate it if there was more attention around them eating their snacks and lunch. Despite the fact that all the meals are available they come back home hungry.

My two children attend Mickle Trafford Preschool & Nursery. My eldest is in the preschool and youngest has just started the nursery.
My children are so happy there. The staff treat them as their own and they have always been so kind to both my children and myself. The staff are all lovely people who
genuinely care about the children. They will pick up on interests and tailor activities for the children. They also create an engaging atmosphere for the children with the emphasis being on play.
My eldest loves the freedom to be able to play inside and outside and the independence and responsibility he's given.
I was nervous about my youngest starting nursery, but the kindness from the staff has helped him settle very quickly. The only thing I'd change is the option to bring a lunch in.

My little boy loves going to pre-school, he gets so excited knowing it’s a pre-school day and always comes out with a big smile and lots of stories. The staff are lovely, bubbly, friendly and approachable. The activities seem to be varied and interesting with lots of time outdoors including little trips
out around the village which I think is great. It’s lovely getting the pictures again on the new app and updates about what the class have been doing. My only minor negative would be that it would be helpful to have some more flexibility around making changes to set days rather than having to pay for an additional day. If staff ratios allow it it seems silly not to allow a child to swap a day here and there. Overall very pleased with the pre-school and thank you to all the staff who have worked hard to get the setting back to its settled state.
