Finkley Hudson’s Field nursery offers early years education for children up to the age of five.

Staff strongly believe in the importance of learning through play and hands-on experiences.

This nursery has a large garden area with a playground, reading area, art area, water area, bug hotel, fort, construction area, baby friendly garden, sand pit and mud kitchen - with so much more!
Indoors there is a mini soft play room and a sensory room.

The nursery has a distinct family feel and is welcoming and friendly with staff tailoring the care to the needs of each child.

Funding & Fees Guide for Finkley Hudson's Field Nursery

  • 3 – 35 Months Rate -
    Full Day (8am - 6pm) - £68.50
    Half Day (8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm) - £45.00
    Ad Hoc Hourly Rate - £9.35

    Early Club 7:30am – 8 am is £5 per session, payable in advance via the parent area.

  • We are approved providers of Wiltshire County Council’s free early year’s educational grant for 2, 3 and 4-year olds. Three and four-year old funding is available for all children from the term after their third birthday regardless of family circumstances. We will supply you with all the required information and parent declaration forms for you to complete, as your child reaches the appropriate age. This funding does not cover certain sundries, activities, visits and hot meals so if a child is using the grant a daily charge will be payable. Details on this can be provided from the Nursery Manager. Children eligible for 2-year-old funding and EYPP may qualify for a discount.

Amazing nursery the staff are so friendly and you feel so part of the family when you are there my little girl has been going since January and she is thriving in the baby room there and loves going to the nursery I tell everyone I know with children how great it is and don't ever want my child to leave
there.

Having just moved to the area, I was keen to find a preschool for my son that he would be cared for but given freedom to express himself and be creative. He had previously struggled at his last setting but the staff at Finkley Hudson's Field Nursery knew exactly how to communicate with him. The difference
seen in him is better than I could have hoped for! He's so happy and I can see how much he is learning and developing. The staff are so lovely and always have time for you. Best preschool ever! I am so grateful.

Really lovely nursery. A good variety of activities inside and out in all weathers. Staff are great with the children and communication is excellent. It’s nice to see photos of what the children have been up to and hear how they are progressing. My 3-year-old has been attending since September and
has grown in confidence interacting with others and building friendships. My 1-year-old has recently started and clearly loves the soft play and different spaces to play in/messy activities. She began climbing after her first visit. Both attend for one full day and a half day a week and always come back tired but with smiles on their faces. Not having to worry about packed lunches, nappies and wipes is a bonus for us, especially with the morning rush. We can relax at work knowing our children are being well looked after and having a fun day learning, playing and getting lots of fresh air. It is pricey but has good quality facilities and care, in my opinion, so worth it.

Our son began Finkley Hudson's Field Nursery in September 2023, as he'd had a mixed experience with his previous nursery it's fair to say we were quite nervous, but we didn't need to be! The team on site are wonderful, very supportive and kind, they instantly formed relationships with him (and us) and
he has absolutely thrived since attending the setting. He goes in happy every day and comes home raving about his day. He loves every minute of it, from the setting (with its own soft play), to the days out (shops, farms, parks), to the key worker's support and the amazing friends he's made. As parents we really appreciate the level of communication, they update the app daily so you have a full rundown of what the day looked like, the learning areas and what they have eaten. Every week we receive a round-up e-mail looking back on the week and providing a plan for the following week, identifying the theme of the week and recommending activities to get your child warmed up in advance - it's amazing!

My twins attended Finkley and they are so excited to attend, when I collect them I get a handover of how they have been, and any issues that may have been identified. The staff have brilliant communication with me. I honestly could not believe the support I had got for one of my twins. It has made me
feel at ease knowing my children are in good and safe hands. I would highly recommend to parents for their children to attend Finkley.

A fantastic nursery.
My little Boy is so happy here, lovely experienced, friendly staff.
The children have lots of fun activities as well as its own soft play area, outside play area and access to Finkley Hudson's Field Nursery, not to mention its own transport for enjoyable days out.
I feel very
lucky to have my son attend such a wonderful setting and couldn’t be happier.

My son has been going here now since it opened in September and so far we are really happy with our decision to put him here. He is usually very happy to see his new friends in the mornings when being dropped off and comes home well worn out from all the fun activities they have been doing with him
during the day. The staff have all been lovely since our first visit and made us feel very welcome. They are very informative about what they have been up to during the day and seem to plan their adventures well, I love the fact they go outside as often as they can. I look forward to my son being able to tell me himself how much he likes going which at the way he is developing wont be too much longer.

Wonderful nursery and amazing staff who treat all the children like their own. My little boy loves going out on the ‘van’ and all the adventures they have. Staff have helped my little one understand his allergies and are extremely allergy aware.

My husband and I are so happy with Finkley Hudson's Field Nursery. I feel really secure in this nursery and I can't explain how nice the staff are all of them are so kind and caring towards my child. My child getting better and developing, he is so happy to come everyday and always has a smile on his

Finkley Hudson Field is a lovely setting my son goes in excited each morning and comes out with a beaming smile. The staff go above and beyond to do engaging activities with the children and taking them on outings. You can see a lot of thought and planning goes into the activities. My son has really
bonded with some of the staff already and talks about them at home with excitement.

I am the manager of Hudson Field Nursery. I have worked in childcare for 10 years. I have a lot of experience with children of all ages and stages. I am fully forest school trained and have a passion for outdoor play. I love working with children and watching them grow, learn and develop.

Gina is our Deputy manager at Finkley Hudson's Field nursery and has her level 5 childcare qualification. Gina has a wealth of knowledge and skills and has worked for Finkley Nurseries for over 5 years! Gina loves working with the children and demonstrates such a kind and compassionate manner towards all of our children and families. Gina has participated in many in-house and outsourced training programmes to continue her professional development and has now begun her journey in gaining her leadership and management level 5 qualifications too.

Job Title: Daily Lead 2-4YRS

Kayleigh is our new Daily Lead in our 2yrs -4yr room.


She has a wealth of experience and knowledge of Early Years.


Rianna

Rianna Prescott

Job Title: Baby Room Daily Lead Qualified Practitioner

Joined: 2024

Rianna is our Under 2 room leader. She is level 3 qualified in childcare and also has her SENCO qualification.


Rianna has many years of experience working in nurseries alongside having her own child. She is a fun, enthusiastic leader and has built great parent and carer partnerships within the nursery. Rianna regularly attends/participates in Continuous professional development training courses to develop in her role even further, Rianna is a great keyworker and ensures all of the children in her room have a fantastic experience at nursery.

Danielle Wall

Job Title: SENCO Manager

Dani is our SENCo Manager and supports all of our Finkley Nurseries in meeting the needs of all children within our care, Danielle joined the Finkley family in March 2021. Dani is currently working towards her degree in Special Education Needs and Inclusivity.


We asked Dani what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;

Sarah Gough

Job Title: Finkley Group Manager

Joined: 2017

Sarah is the Finkley Group Manager of Finkley Nurseries. She has been working at Finkley since it opened in September 2017, starting as the manager of Finkley Andover before being promoted to the Finkley Group Manager in June 2021, where she now oversees all of the settings. She also has a degree in Early Years Education.


We asked Sarah what her favourite part about working with children is and she said;
