Sending your child to nursery for the first time can be a daunting prospect, however staff at St. Michael’s School are confident that your child will thrive in its welcoming and nurturing environment.

Pupils are accepted from their third birthday (you do not need to wait until September unlike most schools) and they will benefit from small class sizes and a broad and varied education taught by specialist staff. The curriculum fosters inquisitive minds that relish the challenge of discovery in an active learning environment, whilst also enjoying opportunities for play.

In addition to the core curriculum, pupils are encouraged to take part in additional activities such as music, ballet and sports, which are taught by specialist and peripatetic staff. Wrap-around care is also available for an extra fee (from 8am-5.30pm) and this is in the form of various clubs including arts & crafts, language club and mindfulness.

The Senior School is situated just a stone’s throw away, meaning that pupils in the Pre-Prep & Prep can make the most of the facilities and resources made available to older pupils. The geography of the site also allows for a seamless transition to the Senior School when the time comes. This is a huge appeal to many parents and a large number of pupils join in nursery and go through the school until the end of Sixth Form.

Transport to and from the school is offered in the form of a private bus network and its routes cover most of South and West Wales including Swansea, Mumbles, Gower, Llanelli and Carmarthenshire.

My child runs into school every morning without looking back. It gives me the peace of mind to be able to go to my workplace knowing my child is thriving. The staff members are just what you would want; caring, experienced, professional in all they do, but put the children first. I am so grateful for
this school.
