All the rooms at Leafield House Nursery have been designed to provide a calm area to learn whilst the outdoors have been specifically designed to be inviting, challenging and to provide opportunities to promote physical development. Each play room has its own playground along with a large communal playground featuring forest school, outdoor classroom, nature reserve and so much more.

The nursery is a "breast feeding friendly" setting and provides a parent's room/breast feeding room, along with an activity room where local classes take place along with indoor PE and Yoga sessions. The setting provides extra curriculum activities to all play rooms, French sessions, Music sessions, Forest School session and Phonics session.

Leafield House takes pride in its team who are all qualified Nursery Practitioners or Qualified Teachers. They also provide a varied nutritional menu that is carefully designed and planned from the on site Chef to cater around all children's dietary requirements.

Funding & Fees Guide for Leafield House Nursery

  • Registration - £100 (this includes registration to the setting and secures your child's place. It also includes settling in sessions for your child this is non refundable).


    Full day - £87 (7:30-18:00).
    Morning session - £52 (7:30- 12:30).
    Afternoon session - £45 ( 13:00-18:00).
    The setting will be accepting the 15 and 30 hour FEEE offer for 3-4 year olds from the government to cover hours there are additional costs for the extra services we provide when using the FREE hours.

  • All fees are due on the 1st of each month, all fees are to be paid upfront of the childcare services by Bank transfer or Direct Debit.
    Unfortunately we do not offer term time only childcare.
    Priority is given to full time places and children with siblings already at the setting.
    A minimum of 4 sessions required per week ( 1 session is half a day).
  • Parking

  • The car park is located at the front of the setting you can access by the electric gates using the intercom.
    Please ensure that you park within the lines.
    Please do not park on Leafield Grange, as this blocks the access road for the local residents. Please notify Reception using the intercom if you are having difficulty parking and they will try to resolve the situation.

Wonderful staff and facilities here. All the staff genuinely care about the children they are looking after. Meaning you know you are leaving your precious ones in good hands. So glad I moved my little one here, after a difficult start at a different nursery.

The nursery is a gorgeous setting inside and out, it's all very well looked after and safe/secure. They have so many different activities for the children and the staff are extremely caring and settle the children in really well! You can tell they all genuinely care and want to be there. Everyone is
super friendly and you always feel like your child is in amazing hands with everyone there! Hands down the best place around to send our son who is really thriving there!

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Leafield House. The attention to detail in everything they do is outstanding, and we love how varied and enriching the activities are for the children. As parents, we feel very involved and receive regular, thorough updates, which really puts our minds at
ease. The environment is always warm and welcoming, and the staff are so friendly and attentive. It's clear they genuinely care about the children, not only the key worker but everyone we interact with are totally committed to making Leafield great for the children. The food is amazing, both in quality and variety and the different areas the children have to play and learn in are fantastic. We love the themed days and seeing the dedication to making everything exciting and informative. They made such a special effort on our daughter's birthday too, so amazing. We highly recommend this nursery to any parents looking for a place where their little ones will thrive!

The staff are brilliant. They are welcoming, attentive and so supportive of both the children and the parents. The facilities are lovely and kept to a very high standard. My son has been there for nearly a year and is thriving in such a wonderful environment and in the company of amazing staff.

Our son has been attending this nursery for just over a month now and we have been impressed with everything so far!
Our son has settled in so quickly and clearly feels very comfortable and at ease when he is there - all of the staff are great with him and put us at ease leaving him for a whole day
at a time (something we have never done before!)
Our son has a great relationship with his primary carer and I can already see that bonds are being formed. We also enjoy the fact that all of the staff know our son and understand his specific needs.
The facilities at the nursery are great - there is a lot of outdoor space which he uses every day, something that is super important to us as his parents.
The most important thing to us is that our son is happy. When I ask him at the end of each day if he had a fabulous day, he always emphatically answers yes!

The nursery teachers are extremely caring and loving towards the children which for me is the most important part of the nursery. They have some excellent formal processes for example every child has a key worker and they give progress reviews on your child's development. As one of the only nurseries
opening at 7.30 am in the area, this was a big advantage over competing nurseries (although 7.00 am start would be better but no nurseries offer this in the area). In terms of improvement areas, I think the nursery has a good system for logging activities, however, sometimes some activities can be missed off the app. I would like to see more variety in the menu, the main meals are usually good but the snacks are often less healthy or heavy on bread. I think they are also missing a last meal as my child often comes home hungry (arrival 11.30, 15.30) they need another one slightly after this or a bigger meal at 15.30. We would like to see the menu sent out in advance and more variety. We are overall very happy with our child's experience here and will be staying here all the way through. Well done Leafield team for being so lovely.

As a multi-parent family, communication is key. And this was always a worry when looking for childcare. I have two children who attend Leafield House Nursery. I have been impressed by how much they have progressed in such little time, although it is bittersweet having them grow so quickly. They both really enjoy it and are comfortable with the staff, who are all lovely and friendly. They are all so quick
to celebrate my child’s milestones and show their excitement to encourage, especially my daughter, in things like toilet training. The space itself is very clean and offers a wide variety of activities that support imaginative play, i.e. the play barn and forrest school. I am happy with the care they receive here and the relationships they have built in the process.

We are new to Leafield House Nursery this year and I must say, I am very impressed so far! A secure, clean environment, with a positive atmosphere and days filled with fun activities and purposeful play.
My (nearly) 2-year-old seems to really enjoy her days here and returns home most days with a new
word, action or song. The nursery keeps us updated with every snack, meal, change and also sends plenty of pictures of what our child is up to. The staff are always smiling and the management go above and beyond to ensure satisfaction in all areas. It is clear a lot of thought and experience has gone into every single detail of the nursery.
Overall, they offer a very personable, trusting experience for the parents and a very enjoyable start to learning, socialising and development for the little ones.

An amazing nursery inside and out. The staff are exceptional. Everything about this nursery is thought out very well. As a first-time mum trying to find the right nursery for my daughter was hard, but I can honestly say, Leafield House was the right choice. The staff are amazing!
The children have a variety of activities throughout the day, which has helped my daughter develop massively. Their outside space is amazing,
allowing the children to explore in free play and in a learning environment.

I have two children at Leafield House and have put my third on the waiting list to start next year. Last year, my son attended another local nursery and would get extremely upset every time he had to go. After giving it a chance for almost a year and seeing that the tears weren’t stopping, we thought
we’d try Leafield House. We are happy to say that we are over the moon with the nursery and that it was the best decision we made. I only wish the nursery had opened sooner. My children love the staff, there are no tears and my son, who was the fussiest eater, is now eating things I never thought possible. Unlike the other nursery, we are regularly sent photos and messages of what the children are up to. The communication is excellent. The staff provide a very nurturing but also educational environment and are always happy to help with any concerns or questions. The care they receive, which is reflected in the children’s happiness to go, is well worth the money. A really happy mum!

The team at Leafield House are amazing!
Being a parent of one of the first children in the new nursery it has been great to see the facility blossom into a great place for both children and parents.
My daughter was, initially, hesitant of the change from home to nursery but absolutely loves it! She
has personal relationships with multiple members of staff and always bounds in with a smile on her face.
We receive regular updates throughout the day on what she had been up to, pictures of the daily activities and what she has been eating.
We have had our first review of how she is doing and it is great to see the developmental progress she has made in such a short amount of time.
