Nursery Afternoon Supplements include the provision of lunch and activities until 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
Parking is available at the Nursery but this is limited. If there are no spaces, visitors are encouraged to park at Aldenham Golf Club which is just opposite the Nursery

I have been practising in Early Years education for 14 years - all of them at Edge Grove School, both in our Junior Department as a Reception Class Teacher and latterly as Head of Early Years based at Edge Grove Nursery.
Every day in the Early Years is different. The children come in with big smiles on their faces ready to tackle the day ahead. Our learning is child-centred. It could be as simple as a child bringing in an acorn that they found at the weekend and then our whole morning or day will be based around an acorn, which leads to life cycles, seasons and outdoor learning to name a few.
The best thing about working at Edge Grove Nursery is that we are a part of the prep school. Although we are located a short walk away from the main site, we ensure that we make regular visits to the "big school" so the children see the wider community of which they are a part. The children really enjoy getting on the minibus up to 'big Edge Grove'. We also have an amazing green just across the road from our Nursery that we use regularly for 'school trips' for the littlest members of the Edge Grove community.

I am a Cache Level 2 (currently completing Level 3 in Early Years) Learning Assistant, with 10 years of Early Years experience, 2.5 of which have been at Edge Grove Nursery.
Working at Edge Grove has provided me the opportunity to bear witness to the wonder of learning every day. The nurturing and supportive environment, along with a strong sense of community, create a supportive atmosphere where every child is encouraged to thrive.
I personally am drawn to the outdoors and its open-ended experiences and the benefits nature has to offer.
Including teachable moments, from observing nature's wonders to promoting physical activity and teamwork. Edge Grove’s staff, pupils and grounds provide the perfect setting for holistic development and creating lasting, positive memories that enhance the early years' educational experience.

I have always worked in Early Years and its definitely where my heart is. Watching the children learning new things every day, being able to be creative in everything we do and having such a wonderful team to work with are just a few of the things I love about my job.
In my experience working at Edge Grove the one thing I love is that it feels like one big community. Days such as Speech Day, the Christmas Fair and the many performances put on by the children are so special.

After graduating from North London Collegiate school, Nicole achieved a BA (Hons) degree in Philosophy and Theology from Nottingham University and QTS through LSJS. Before qualifying as a teacher, Nicole embarked on a career in theatre marketing consultancy for 10 years, working across a portfolio of clients specialising in children's theatre including Dreamworks Theatricals' Shrek The Musical, an adaptation of Jacquiline Wilsons' Hetty Feather, Julia Donaldson's The Scarecrows' Wedding and Dr Seuss' Seussical the Musical, to name a few.
Nicole utilised the time during Covid-19 to follow her dream of working in education, and gained invaluable EYFS experience working across the Reception classrooms at Haberdashers' Girls School, before qualifying as an early years teaching specialist at Sacks' Morasha school in Finchley. Following these experiences, Nicole set up her own tutoring facility, inspiring homeschooled children ages 4-11 to love and engage with academics in a nurturing and fun environment. Nicole joined Edge Grove in 2024 as an EYFS teacher and specialist. She brings her love of academics and enthusiasm for learning to the children in her care, helping them to construct a strong foundation to build upon throughout their school careers, whilst nurturing the abilities and needs of each individual.
