S4YC @ Wharton is based in the Wharton Children’s Centre, it is a 72-place nursery consisting of 3 rooms; babies, toddlers and pre-school.

The setting offers term-time and all year-round care with varied sessions to suit all, between the hours of 8am and 6pm.

The vast outdoor area is accessible whatever the weather, and since they love to explore the different seasons, wellies and all in one suits are a must!

The nursery promotes in the moment planning following the children’s lead and has a range of activities that are freely accessible to the children so they can extend their own learning as they play.

The enthusiastic and well-trained staff including a trained teacher in the preschool room. All the rooms reflect the children’s interests and are warm and welcoming. The nursery adopts an open-door policy so no need to book, feel free to go along and see the team in action.

Both my children have attended this nursery from babies to preschool and have enjoyed every moment of it. The staff are incredible and super friendly! Everyone there will be super missed but a massive thank you!

My daughter has been attending this nursery since January. She has had a great time and gets on really well with the staff. They are all lovely and will be missed when she moves to pre school in January.

My little boy has just started here, he has a few undiagnosed issues and the staff have treated him amazingly. He struggled settling in at first but now after a few weeks he goes in with a smile and when we pick him up he has an even bigger smile. All the staff are professional, friendly and welcoming.
I love the fact they have free flow from outside to inside and vice versa as my son loves being outside and would spend the day outside if he could. He has come on leaps and bounds in just a few short weeks and he is thriving and that is down to the care and love that he receives whilst being in nursery. It puts my mind at rest knowing that he is safe and secure.
Big shout out to four members of staff in particular.

Wharton S4YC team are great! With kids and giving feedback on the child's day in nursery, they have been fantastic at getting my child to open up more while she's at nursery and she comes home telling us how much she loves the activities she's been doing, I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone
looking, such a great team.

All staff are really friendly and helpful, my son really enjoys his sessions and it has helped him loads, all staff are always welcoming. I would recommend Wharton Nursery to all friends and family with small children.

Many thanks from the heart for all your hard work, love, dedication, patience to the children, and for keeping personal belongings in order (toys, clothes), helping with potty training, caring when they were not feeling well, making everyday a fun environment to go to which was also very important.
The manager and all the other lovely staff are part of our daughter’s life, as the second family. From day one they have made us feel very welcome and my little girl settled into nursery so quickly with a smile at the end of most days which was absolutely down to the care, attention and focus on her. Every morning and evening you are greeted with smiling faces and they really do seem to love their jobs. S4YC @ Wharton Nursery is a special place for us and thank you for that.

Fantastic nursery my son is really settled there. It has made so much progress since being took over and the manager is lovely always there to help. The room staff are all friendly and helpful and my son loves the open-door policy as he would spend all day outside if he could.

Great nursery, always happy with the staff and events that are organised by themselves. My daughter went there and my son is currently there now. They have messy play and outdoor adventure exploring which my son enjoys.
My son enjoys the hot meals at lunchtime as they have a good variety.

This is a lovely nursery with dedicated, friendly, caring and hard-working staff. My little boy has been here since I returned back to work at 9 months, he’s now two years old and coming on leaps and bounds. They put his needs first, e.g. when it was time to move up rooms, they introduced him slowly
with visits and didn’t move him over until he was ready. His older sister loved it here and he does too. I can go to work reassured that he is safe, having a fabulous time with all the wonderful activities they do, whilst also growing and developing amazingly well, preparing him for his future ready for school. The staff were brilliant as my daughter was settling into nursery and really put me at ease. All the staff are really approachable and it's very reassuring to see my daughter is happy to see them all. All the staff work extremely hard my daughter is definitely thriving at the nursery! I love being able
to see a photo update on the app while I'm at work, it would be nice to have one every day but I appreciate how busy everyone is. I love hearing what my daughter has been up to when I pick her up.

My daughter absolutely loves her nursery and tells me all about her day on picking her up. The staff have taken their time to help with the separation anxiety that my daughter was struggling with and now is able to walk in from the door on her own without me having to go into the room with her. Not
only this but the staff are very welcoming with not only my child but myself as well and make the time for anything you need to discuss with them. You can see they put their all into their job and that the children are their number one priority. My daughter really has come on leaps and bounds and really is thriving. She is developing and growing so much in all places and that is from the help of the amazing staff she is around in the nursery setting too.

Since the changeover, the staff have been amazing and the new staff have been amazing too. Always greeted with a smile and a lovely hello good morning/afternoon. All members of staff are so involved with the kids, it’s amazing seeing teachers so involved in activities. My little girl loves it here,
can’t fault it. Highly recommend it if anyone is thinking of getting their little ones into nursery. Can’t thank the staff enough for what they do for my little girl, making her feel so welcome when she turns up.

My daughter has been attending this nursery and preschool for nearly a year now. She has some extra needs. We initially made this move from another setting, and they haven't disappointed and have been very supportive of both us as parents and my child. I would 100% recommend this nursery and preschool.

My daughter has just started attending 2 mornings a week. She has settled in really well and enjoys coming each week. All of the nursery practitioners are lovely and make you feel at ease. The outdoor area is brilliant and the variety of food is great.

When looking for a nursery setting for my first child, I was initially quite nervous but the team from the baby room all the way up to toddlers have been incredible.
You can tell they truly care about what they do and the children. My child is thriving all thanks to the wonderful team that works here.

This is a fantastic nursery with friendly professional staff. All of the staff are very supportive and always keep you updated on your child's progress and areas that may need focus. We are able to feel confident and relaxed about leaving our child here as we know he will be well looked after. He loves

My little girl started at the nursery in the baby room in October 2023, she was extremely shy and very attached to me and would cry each day that she attended but with the amazing help of the staff, who are all so lovely and polite, my little girl has now become so confident and enjoys her mornings
at nursery playing with the other children and joining in with all the activities. I'm happy that I have made the right choice in sending my little girl to this nursery and look forward to watching her thrive and become more confident.

I can’t rate this nursery enough, my son has been coming here since he was 10 months old and he absolutely loves it, he’s progressed so much since being here, much more than I could have ever taught him. The staff are all fantastic, all take their time to get to know everyone and the children. They’re
always friendly and approachable and I’m always kept up to date. The nursery has a lovely atmosphere and is a great setting for children of all ages.

The nursery has got its fun, friendly, family feel back to it. Everyone has smiles on their faces when you drop off and pick up! My child is thriving under their care and I couldn’t be happier. I have my Level 4 in childcare learning and development and I am Level 3 trained in safeguarding. I am also the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator.
I am married and I have 2 children.
In my spare time I like to read, knit, spend time with my friends and family and watch movies.

Hi, my name is Lauren I am the baby room supervisor I've worked here since December 2021. I love getting messy and creating craft and sensory play experiences for the children.
