S4YC @ Northwich provides a warm, welcoming and nurturing environment for all children with a home from home feeling. It is an inclusive setting providing equal opportunities for all children and families.

All staff are caring and dedicated and support children to thrive. The keyworker system enables the children and their parents to build strong relationships, making sure they feel confident that their children are left in the best hands. The curriculum is built around the EYFS covering all 7 areas providing the best start and foundation for your child’s development.

All staff are DBS checked, first aid trained and have a minimum of level 2 safeguarding knowledge. All staff are encouraged to upskill with continual training supporting their own professional development.

The setting promotes healthy eating with fresh snacks and homecooked meals made on site by the experienced nursery cook. They are able to cater for all dietary requirements and support with weaning/baby led weaning your child – menus and allergy information is available on the parent's information board in the nursery foyer.

Across all three rooms, all children are regularly observed and assessed, this information is shared with parents through reports and parents evenings.

The setting has an open door policy and there is always a member of the senior team to answer any questions you may have.

Since starting at nursery my little girl has come on leaps and bounds, all of the ladies have been absolutely amazing with her. Her speech and confidence have come on incredibly and due to their kind and caring nature she looks forward to seeing them each day that she's in. I really couldn't have asked
for a better nursery and group of people to start her journey. Thank you, everyone, we will miss you all when she starts school in September.

I found it extremely impressive that when I left the nursery on Friday 2nd February with the nursery looking one way, to return on Monday 5th February to the 2's and toddler rooms being completely swapped. The dedication that the staff and manager show to change things in the nursery along with the
day-to-day activities to keep the children entertained is out of this world. My son has been at this nursery for sixteen months, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. In fact, I have on more than one occasion. There is not a single member of staff I don't feel I can approach to discuss my son. I have even gone in very upset over something that involved my older child and the manager took the time out of her day to talk to me, calm me down and support me in a way to deal with the situation before my younger child saw me upset. I have engaged with various stay-and-play days, taking time off work to do so. My son loves the fact I come to play, I can't wait until Wednesday to come again.

We have only been attending the setting for a short period of time, but have been more than satisfied with the setting and the level of care and education that our child receives. The staff are all very lovely and friendly. Our child really enjoys this nursery and it has been really nice to see him
grow and develop within the setting. The staff are proactive when it comes to allergy concerns which is of a huge importance to us as parents to a child with allergies. There is also a variety of meals for children with allergies which is really nice to see, as not many places offer such a variety. Overall, we’re really happy with the setting and glad that we switched to S4YC as our little one wasn’t fulfilling his potential at a previous setting. At S4YC, they ensure there are themed activities which are age-appropriate to stimulate the children. Which in turn, furthers their education and development.

My son started at S4YC Northwich in January at 11 months old. From even before his first day, at his settling-in sessions, he has enjoyed it and all the staff have been lovely. My nephew has been at this nursery since he was 2, now in pre-school. He absolutely loves going and often doesn't want to come home. He loves to tell me all about his day and his friends. The nursery provides lots of activities and toys and the staff are warm and welcoming and always greet him cheerily

All three of my children have attended this nursery, two when it was under a different name and my daughter is now in preschool and has attended since she was 1. I would say currently it’s the best it’s ever been. The staff are all welcoming upon arrival and genuinely caring. My daughter has come on
leaps and bounds and gets so excited about nursery days, she always has lots to tell me about playing with her friends and the activities she has done. I enjoy coming along to the many stay-and-play events throughout the year, the Father’s Day BBQ was great!

They are good in taking care of the child as well as providing a safe and good environment for children. Initially, my child had a language barrier, but the teachers have taken great care. He learned English very fast. My child likes it very much.

My little one has been attending this nursery since June 2023. He has additional needs and the senco and all staff are warm and welcoming and incredibly helpful. They understand and put things into place to support him and are very proactive with seeking further support for him, i.e. additional funding
for a 1-1. He has truly blossomed since attending full-time from September 2023, the change in how he deals with situations is almost unrecognisable. He has a fantastic bond with all the staff members and we really do see this nursery as an extension of our family. The manager is always on hand if we need anything, even if I’m ranting about work or uni! I can’t thank any of you enough for how much support we have received throughout his time with you and can’t wait for him to continue to develop and thrive whilst he is in your setting. Thank you so much, from one really anxious and clingy mum, you have made the nursery experience amazing.

My granddaughter loves the nursery. She is growing into a confident, happy and social toddler. Her speech and language has come on leaps and bounds. When we collect our granddaughter from nursery, the staff are always friendly and welcoming to us. We have got to know the staff well and they always tell
us all about the day. Being a vegan, there are always options for my granddaughter to eat. Overall, my experience has always been positive.

Hello, I'm Jen, and I have been here for four years, I work in the preschool room, term-time only, before this I would clean the Northwich nursery in the evening.


I enjoy getting involved in all the messy activities with the children, but also like sitting down for a book and a cuddle.
