Westhill is the perfect setting. It inspires, nurtures and cares for young and developing minds.
Our son is in his first year here and we cannot thank the team enough for all they do to guide, support and harness his independence and personal development.
The setting is exquisite and the time, effort
and love that is put into each room, the garden and the activities arranged for each day is so evident.
Rambles, touch rugby, ballet - just a few of the amazing choices of activities at our children's fingertips.
Our son is flourishing and will be very ready to move into Reception in September and that is all thanks to the amazing team at Westhill.
We will be so sad for our son to say goodbye, but excited to walk back through the gates when our daughter starts in September 2026!

Thank you for your very positive review, it is very much appreciated.We are very fortunate to have such a great team of teachers at Westhill Nursery who are dedicated to providing such a rich curriculum that is tailored to each child by using the EYFS as a framework. The children benefit from the use of the whole of Ryde school facilities and grounds. On a weekly basis they go on Rambles in the school grounds, do soft shapes and play tag rugby on the astro turf. It is wonderful to hear that your son is flourishing so well at Westhill and we shall look forward to your daughter following in his footsteps in September 2026.

Amazing nursery, takes learning seriously but also keeps it fun! Two of our children have attended and we fully intend for our youngest daughter to start when she can. Only drawback is that it makes you want your children to continue at the private school!

Westhill feels like a home from home for my son, he loves going in every day and some afternoons doesn't want to leave (!). The rooms within the building and the gardens are absolutely beautiful, the stuff children's dreams are made of - and there is a great array of activities, which vary greatly week
to week. There is lots of outside time, including rambles and trips to the main school site, and there is no fear about getting muddy! The app is kept well updated with what they've been up to, and there are also daily personal updates so you know when they've napped and what they've eaten which I've found very useful. I've been amazed with the advances he has made with his speech and emotional/personal development - which has a lot to do with the very caring team fully investing themselves in each child's journey and meeting them where they are at. The transition to reception is very impressive too, which although a big milestone, will be one he will be very excited about!

It has been exciting to be part of his learning journey where we have seen him go from a toddler to a very chatty and knowledgeable boy, who is eager to learn. The Westhill Team put a lot of thought and care into the planning so it is great to get your positive feedback. The children love the outdoors and the weekly Ramble trip to the outdoor learning area and the Tag Rugby in the senior school. The app is very user-friendly and a wonderful way to share with the parents how their children are progressing and enjoying the Nursery activities. The Fiveways Reception teacher regularly visits the Nursery to read and do art and craft activities relating to the stories. And in the Summer term the children are regularly invited up to the Reception Class so that she can get to know each child. This then makes the transition to Reception seamless.

After our first full year at Westhill Nursery with all the experiences we have gained we can truly say it is an amazing nursery. All staff involved in looking after the children are loving, patient and extremely competent. They manage to create a family-like atmosphere which gives the children confidence
and strength. From a young age, children are taught in a very gentle and playful way. Even the transition to preschool is done in a buildup so the children feel comfortable with the change. Every step is well thought through in the interest of the child. Absolutely recommended.

Westhill has been as close to a perfect setting as we could have hoped for. It is warm and caring and the children there always look happy. Westhill is absolutely outstanding in so many ways. The setting is the most beautiful I have been to and having put several kids through nursery and preschool and visited a few this is the best one I have seen. The communication and contact home is consistently brilliant as well. Not just in recording
and uploading photos of what the kids are up to but also calling and checking in if my son is unwell or not been themselves. My son absolutely loves it there and I would recommend it to all parents.

Lovely nursery, my little one is thriving there and is excited to go and see his friends and caregivers. The staff have been very supportive with settling him in and helping with toilet training. He has really enjoyed all the lovely activities which are put on each day and he has been able to try out
lots of new creative activities which he proudly brings home to show us. I know he will be sad to leave when he starts school in September.

Our daughter started at Westhill Nursery in the summer and she loves it. In a short time, I have noticed her confidence grow and her language and development flourish. I have been especially impressed by the teachers who are so kind and nurturing and have got to know her really well. The activities
are planned around themes and we receive updates on an app so we know what she has been doing and can talk to her about it at home. She often comes home with things from her day such as paintings, crafts, a new library book, cakes she has helped to cook or flowers, acorns and other treasures she's collected during rambles. The nursery building is beautiful with a large garden and the children also use the facilities on the school campus. We also appreciate the freshly cooked food and snacks and holiday club provision. I am really happy that we chose Westhill Nursery and so grateful to the teachers for creating a wonderful, nurturing and fun environment where I feel she is thriving.

Dear Laura, Thank you for your lovely feedback it is greatly appreciated. We are very fortunate to have access to the Main school facilities which we utilise to the full. When planning activities we follow the EYFS framework and also place great emphasis on language and speech development. We are lucky enough to have the most beautiful bespoke library with hand-painted murals on the walls. The children find the room calming and enjoy the experience of choosing stories to read with their parents at bedtime. I'm pleased that you are enjoying our Holiday provision. My son has been attending this nursery for almost a year, he joined when he was 2. To start with he would get upset at drop off times but after the staff's caring and friendly approach he is very settled now. He loves going into nursery and thoroughly enjoys the holiday club they also offer. The children
get to do so many different activities and it's amazing watching him grow and develop through all of the activities and care the staff put in. The nursery is extremely well managed and all of the staff are wonderful. The nursery is very well presented and clean, with extraordinary resources. We would definitely recommend this nursery to other people and we couldn't wish any better for our son.
