Funding & Fees Guide for Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Wokingham

  • The nursery is open 51 weeks a year. We close only between Christmas and New Year and Bank Holidays, and for a maximum of three in-service training days per year. This gives us the time required to train staff to the highest possible standard, ensuring best practice for your child and ongoing professional development for our practitioners.


    Monthly fees shown are calculated using the following calculation:
    (Weekly Booking × 51 weeks) ÷ 12 months = annualised monthly invoice amount.
    Full time fees (5 full days per week) are calculated over 50 weeks, giving you one-week free childcare per year but keeping your invoice the same amount each month.
    If your child starts or leaves mid-month, fees are calculated using a daily rate.


    Nursery fees are based on the opening hours of 7.30am-6:30pm for full days and either 7.30am-12:30pm or 1:00pm-6:00pm for half days.
    A non-refundable registration fee of £150 is applicable to every application.

My daughter settled in really quickly in the nursery and have a close attachments with the staff. My daughter loves to go to the nursery as they have alot of activities, indoor and outdoor. In particular they train the kids to be well mannered and support in their growth stages. I would highly recommend
the nursery.

Our daughter thoroughly enjoys her days at Monkey Puzzle. She has been attending for nearly 6 months now. There is always a good range of play activities available and the staff are really lovely. Communication are always easy and we have an app for regular updates (what she has eaten, potty training,
play activities etc.) which works really well. The facilities are newly renovated and are well thought out. We have been very happy with the whole experience and highly recommend the nursery.

Really lovely, friendly staff who I feel very very confident looking after my child. Would love to have more photos uploaded on the app so I can see my child at least once or twice a day if possible just to see what activities they are up too but everything has been really brilliant. Amazing support
and care with using the toilet, eating meals and naps. Love that I can drop off and collect my child when I want which suits my needs. All the staff knew my child's name in the first week and made us feel really supported and welcomed.

After extensive searching in our local area of Wokingham, we found Monkey Puzzle, which at the time was a relatively new nursery. One of the main attractions for us was the location in town, car parking facilities (although sometimes challenging to enter via the narrow entrance if you have a larger
car and park into an available space), favourable opening and closing times for drop-off and pick-up, but most importantly during the initial tour of the nursery, we felt the passion from the team in caring for the babies and children.
Our daughter was approx. 9 months old when she started here and it's been great to see her development through the regular updates via the app and through conversations with the team during pick-up. The daily activities are varied and fun! The team also provide a variety of meals and snacks throughout the day, which socialises different tastes and textures, which is really good.
Overall, We're extremely happy with the care of our baby and would recommend!

My daughter has attended Monkey Puzzle Wokingham for more than 5 months now and I think she is the first kid to start this nursery. One of my friend's daughters goes to Monkey Puzzle in another area that's how I came to know about this nursery. I looked around 3-4 nurseries before I came to Monkey Puzzle.
The staff at Monkey Puzzle are fantastic. My daughter has thrived since being at Monkey Puzzle. I have been overwhelmed by the support the staff have given to me and my daughter through the transition into nursery. The management are understanding and attentive. My daughter comes from nursery singing new songs she's been taught, counting, talking small sentences and some new words. All of the children always seem happy and clean. The nursery itself is lovely, well-maintained and always very clean. I feel very well rested leaving my daughter in the care of Monkey Puzzle.

Words cannot explain how brilliant this nursery is.
I moved my son to this nursery in the summer as I was starting a new job. I was apprehensive about spending less time with my boy and making sure he was in a setting that he would be happy in. I couldn't have found anywhere better. He loves it! They
have been brilliant with him at every turn. Caring and patient at the start when he wasn't so sure, then embracing all of his little quirks.
We get updates every day but they're always written by someone who really knows my son.
More recently I discovered my son actually had a heap of intolerances and they have taken this on board without any problems. They've even made him his own cake so he doesn't miss out when the other children have cake. As a single mum, I feel like I have another parent with me.
I couldn't imagine him being anywhere else.

Our little girl settled in quickly to nursery and the staff were amazing in helping her settle in, her confidence has grown so much in the couple of months she has been there, we expressed when she joined she hadn't been around too many other children and the staff were really good with her helping
her get that social interaction that she needed to help her develop further. The best thing we have done is choose Monkey Puzzle for our daughter!

This is a fantastic nursery and I cannot recommend it enough. The team are amazing, dedicated and are really caring towards the children. My little one started in the baby room just as she turned one and she really did settle in so quickly. She now goes into nursery with a big smile, gives us a wave
goodbye and absolutely loves it. I'm so glad we picked this nursery and look forward to the rest of her nursery years here.

Monkey Puzzle and all its staff are just wonderful. Warm and welcoming and just so lovely with the little ones. It's a happy learning, and social environment that has a home-from-home feel. My little one is only 1 and she comes home with a smile on her face and full of beans every time she has nursery.
The management are friendly and approachable and very accommodating to challenges and needs. We're updated often about her adventures during the day with posts and pictures. I'm very grateful to have found a newly established nursery that is just fab. Thanks guys.

I moved my daughter to this setting in May 2024 from another and I am very pleased with the care.
After a couple of weeks of being in the setting, we saw a marked difference in her behaviour and happiness. We get multiple daily updates via the app with pictures, putting us at ease that she is in caring
and capable hands. The food menu is very varied and I'm pleased she is being given the opportunity to try lots of different foods.
The staff at Monkey Puzzles seem motivated to be there and I feel that they generally care about my child.
The garden is small, however well equipped and my child is happy to play with the ample resources available. The regular outings to the town and parks have added value to her learning. I've had a number of friends say that they have seen her out and how happy she looks.
The biggest thing has been the special education support received. I have found it to be child-focused and tailored, fully understanding the needs before putting a plan in place.

We have had superb service and care from the moment we contacted the nursery. Our child was one of the very first starters and they have settled so well.
The manager has great plans for how the nursery will develop and excel over time which we look forward to being a part of and experiencing.
The
outdoor space is smaller than one might hope for but, if trips to use facilities and exploring the local area are arranged as promised then this will make up for the smaller space. The current space, however, is well stocked with toys and activities so is being put to best use.
Communication with the nursery staff is prompt and reassuring. The Famly app is used well and is a great record of the daily activities and need-to-know info.
Although a small point, it would be good to see more variety in the meals once the nursery is in full swing. There is a lot of repetition with fruit (apple or banana) and it would be nice for some more variety to challenge the taste buds!

Lovely team of people who genuinely care. It's clearly not just a job to them as they put their heart into connecting with and caring for the children. Very happy with the level of communication provided to parents through the day and at pick-up. Highly recommend. Very impressed at the presence of the

Excellent nursery! My son (8 months) loves attending here, he has so much fun and we love getting daily updates and photos. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating. Our son has a smile on his face daily. They do water play, sand play, painting, drawing, sensory toys and reading stories and singing.
