Smile & Shine Nursery: Safe, Caring and Happy.

Smile & Shine Nursery provides a warm and welcoming environment for all children coming into the setting. Adopting a "home from home" feel, Smile & Shine understands that every child is unique and learn in different ways, combining 3 pedagogical approaches: EYFS, Montessori and Forest School. Through combining the approaches, children are exposed to a well balanced and broad range of educational experiences.

At Smile & Shine, the team is passionate and experienced. They work hard to provide a variety of experiences and work closely with parents/carers to ensure children's interests are embedded into practice. This continues to support practitioners to create inviting and engaging experiences that develop children's investigative skills.

The Nature Trail and large Garden encourage children to explore the outdoors and the Forest School sessions provide the opportunity to engage in various activities that will develop practical skills and give hands on experience for their growth. The connectedness to the outdoors continues inside the setting, with a neutral aesthetic and wooden furniture.

Overall experience is really nice. Staff is confident and very patient with kids. Activities are effective and build great confidence in my child. The Head of the Nursery is very enthusiastic, and staff follows her lead.

Since joining, our child has been wonderfully cared for. They are always happy and have been helped to settle so nicely.
The staff provide daily updates on the excellently considered and structured activities, which blend play and learning so well.

From the word go, all the staff were welcoming, understanding and supportive from the home visit through to the first couple of days as our son started at the nursery. The atmosphere is lovely for the children and the genuine care that they have for all of them shines through. It has made his start

Hands down the best nursery I've enrolled my son in. From staff to activities, their facilities and outdoor space are absolutely amazing! The outdoor space is massive with everything the children could want/need to play with. The indoor is always immaculate and clean. The staff is super attentive and
truly cares about the children, the handovers are always detailed. All the children's activities are super well thought out. They do a lot of forest and Montessori activities that are very beneficial for the children and they enjoy it thoroughly. My son comes out always happy and clean, every single time he has been taught something new. I can't say enough good things about the nursery and staff! The manager is absolutely brilliant!

It is a beautiful nursery, one of the best in the area. Both my kids 3 and 5 years old had a good time here and always came back happy. We loved the space they have developed- a big natural garden and a Montessori-based inside setting. They take kids to forest walks which my kids absolutely loved. The
owner and their staff are very accommodating and engage kids with good fun and learning activities throughout the day.

After trying so many nurseries we found Smile and Shine managed by a particular staff member. I just want to express my sincere congratulations to all the staff for their professionalism and how they treat all the kids and parents.
My daughter literally loves this place along with all the staff including
the manager, who besides being a manager is extremely friendly with my daughter.
Big thumbs up to this nursery and I highly recommend them to anyone I know.

Smile & Shine Nursery is a fantastic setting run by the manager and her wonderful team. All the staff are so caring and knowledgeable. The activities and opportunities that they provide for the children are brilliant - particularly all the forest school aspects. My son loves the nature walks and building
dens in the woods! The staff also communicates well with parents, providing regular updates and tracking the children's learning and development. I would strongly recommend this nursery!

The manager and her team were experienced, cheerful and caring. Nursery settings encourage children to explore and learn.
Child observations and learnings were updated on a daily/ weekly basis and parents are also encouraged to participate with child learning while at home.
As a forest nursery,
Smile & Shine has arranged a lot of outdoor activities for the children. Little ones enjoy their time at the nursery and have shown significant progress since joining Smile & Shine.
Our little explorers are excited about the coming summer at the nursery.

The nursery is run by a very experienced, caring and fun manager and team. The setting, activities, food and facilities are excellent, and we are genuinely impressed. The environment is very nurturing for my baby son, so it allows me to relax during the day and concentrate on my work without feeling
guilty or worried. The emphasis on learning, fun activities like discos, healthy food prepared by an onsite chef and outdoor activities make this nursery a true gem. We can’t believe how much our boy progressed since starting the nursery. He absolutely loves going there.

What the manager has created with her Smile & Shine nursery is nothing short of remarkable! She combines being incredibly nurturing with helping the children develop independence (in a playful, supported way). We love how much time they spend outside and are always excited to hear what our son got up
to any given day. Everyone there is so warm and lovely, and you can tell that they genuinely care about the children.
It's been less than a month, but so far, we couldn't recommend Smile & Shine more highly.

My little one attended Smile and Shine Nursery when he was three. The planned activities were a mixture of sensory play, cognitive development and physical development. I was constantly kept up to date with his app report as he was constantly assessed on the seen key areas of EYFS national curriculum
requirements. If there was any concern, it was communicated directly and we worked out the next course of action accordingly. My little one had a great time and consequently, when he started reception, he was ready and well-adjusted to the school setting. Simple skills like wearing your jackets, shoes and boots and following instructions. I highly recommend it.

Smile and Shine nursery has a brilliant Montessori set up with a great outdoor space for kids to run free and play in. All the staff are extremely caring, warm and friendly. My son has been going there only for a few weeks, but is already using sign language! He has a great time and the updates from
the nursery are very helpful to know what he got up to and how is he progressing. Very happy with our experience and highly recommend!

Smile and Shine is an expertly run childcare setting where my two daughters attended over a number of years. The manager provides a warm, nurturing, stimulating and safe environment for children. I had absolute confidence every day in the care my children received whilst they attended the setting. The
manager became an important figure in their lives and to this day they still remember and recall their time at Smile and Shine very fondly. I have no hesitation in providing an excellent reference for this setting.
