Thank you for your honest feedback, we appreciate how difficult it can be to choose the right nursery for your little one. We appreciate all the support and patience whilst we navigate our way through a refurb of the environment. As management, we understand the importance of being visible in nursery playrooms as we are able to offer reassurance, guidance and support to all our valued team members, families and children. The app is a great way of communicating and building rapport with our families and we are lucky to have this facility in nursery. It is important that we cater to all children's individual needs through our menus and appreciate the time parents take to provide us with nutritional meal ideas for menu planning.

Hello, my name is Carrie.
I started my career in early years at the age of 18 years old. I began working for the YMCA in Dumfries working alongside children from 6 weeks to 6 years. I completed my HNC and was promoted to the senior of the baby room, working for this establishment for 5 years.
I decided in 2014, I wanted to enhance my learning opportunities so I enrolled for my BA (Hons) Working with Children and Families in Carlisle, later graduating with a first degree. Upon completion of my degree, I moved to Glasgow with my husband to begin my new management role in the private sector.
Since working in the early years and having a variety of training opportunities, I have become very passionate about Reggio Emilia principles, hygge and The Curiosity Approach. I am very inspired by Froebel's theories about the natural world and Children's play throughout their naturalistic environment.
In September 2019, I began a new journey to start my MED Childhood Practice (master's in education). I chose this course as it was offered on a part-time basis which would work alongside my work commitments and allow me the opportunity to learn within a recognised and respected university.
I am very much looking forward to embarking on my new journey here at Bright Starts Glasgow.

Hello, my name is Heather
I have been qualified for 10 years, my current qualification is a BA in Childhood Studies, I aspire to progress onto my BA in Childhood Practice.
I have worked in all playrooms, with all ages. This has given me the experience and skillset when passing on knowledge to my team. I started off as a practitioner, soon promoted to senior early years practitioner.
From this experience, I was promoted to head of toddlers and thereafter head of room in preschool.
I started Bright Starts Glasgow in January as Deputy Manager. I am passionate about learning experiences and the origins of celebrations to further develop children's interests. I am passionate about toilet training for toddlers - supporting their independence. I love to get to know all children and their needs, so I can support them at a deeper level.
