Nestled in the picturesque village of Thorley, Bishop's Stortford, N Family Club Bishops Stortford is a brand-new nursery and is a delightful haven for young learners and their families. Surrounded by lush woodlands and just moments away from the tranquil Thorley Wash Nature Reserve, the nursery offers a unique environment that encourages both exploration and creativity. Housed in a beautifully converted barn, the spacious layout is designed in an inviting H-shape, with multiple playrooms that are filled with natural light, creating a warm and stimulating atmosphere for children to thrive.

The courtyard garden serves as an extension of this idyllic setting, complete with a messy play area, sandpit, and a mud kitchen that invites children to get their hands dirty and explore the wonders of nature. This outdoor sanctuary is integral to the educational philosophy, as it supports the forest school-inspired sessions that are a core component of the nurturing curriculum. Here, children can immerse themselves in the beauty of the countryside, learning through play and gaining a deeper appreciation for their environment.

Understanding the demands of family life, the team strive to make each visit convenient and enjoyable. The nursery has a generous car park which is designed to alleviate the usual stresses of morning drop-offs and afternoon pickups, allowing families to navigate these busy times with ease. Adding to this convenience, the family breakfast bar offers a welcoming spot to grab a much-needed coffee and tasty treats, ensuring that every family starts their day on the right foot. In this nurturing space, the team are committed to fostering strong connections and supporting families as their children embark on their early learning journey.

Our son has been going to this nursery for about a month and we can only say good things about it. All the staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming.

The facilities are well designed and fit for purpose. The weekly menu is always interesting and there are plenty of different activities throughout

the week to keep the children engaged.

I would be happy to recommend N club to any parent or guardian.

All the staff are so lovely, welcoming and caring. My daughter's face lights up when she sees the team, even wanting to go and say hello to the lovely chef in the morning. The setting is very relaxed, with plenty of outdoor space and versatile resources.

The nursery property is a very nice environment and is well equipped, both the indoor and outdoor facilities.
Staff are very personable and build good relationships with the children. We receive daily updates, including photos and commentary on activities carried out during the day which is great.
The food menu is very varied with whole foods. Our son seems to enjoy it and eats well. The nursery also provides drinks and breakfast items for parents in the morning and puts on special events (e.g., Xmas lunch for parents and children, valentines treats).
Overall very happy with the nursery and would definitely recommend it.

Since first walk through of the nursery, I have had a lovely experience.
Everyone has made both me as a parent and my son attending feel extremely comfortable and I am so pleased he comes here.
My second son is already booked in to join in a year's time.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (9.007) out of 10 for N Family Club - Bishop's Stortford is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.972 for N Family Club - Bishop's Stortford is calculated as follows: ( (70 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.972

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.035 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for N Family Club - Bishop's Stortford is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 69 number of registered child places is 13.8. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.8 = 0.435

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
