Hunters Bar Playschool has been a wonderful setting for our daughter. The staff are incredible and the care they have shown has gone above and beyond. We have had home visits when our daughter was struggling to settle and they have looked after her when she has been upset. The regular meet-ups at the
park after a holiday, organised by the staff, help the children settle back into playschool and show how they go above and beyond. The communication has always been fantastic and we have had regular meetings with staff to discuss progress and next steps. We have loved it so much that we will definitely be sending our youngest to Hunter's Bar Playschool when she is old enough.

Hunter's Bar Playschool is a rare gem. As a playschool, it creates a safe child-led environment that allows a child to explore and engage with their interests at their own pace. The staff are very compassionate and caring, they show a real verve for allowing children to express themselves and have a
strong commitment to learning through play. Our daughter is immensely happy here and very much enjoys her playschool days. The staff were very good at helping her to settle in when she started. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Hunters Bar is a fantastic playschool. My daughter loves it and always enjoys her days there. The staff are really friendly and caring and give great feedback and communication about how she's getting on. They're very inventive at providing different activities for the kids and it's a perfect informal
setting for child-led play. Highly recommended!

Perfect setting, well-trained staff, nurturing, fun and supportive. So happy we found this place, especially after considering many other nurseries. This is the best! Staff are informed well about attachment and what is appropriate for this age group. Activities are very well considered and the play

Lovely warm setting with wonderful staff who are very nurturing. Lots of fun activities for the children and freedom for them to explore things they love. My child really enjoys his time at playschool and has made lots of friends. It is nice for different ages (2-pre-school) to play together.

My children all attended this setting. Staff are highly trained, very caring and skilled at supporting child-led learning and development. The outdoor space is not big but access is freeflow and my children spend lots of time playing outside. They really make the most of this area and also organise
trips to the Botanical Gardens. Relations between staff and families are fantastic and there is an incredibly friendly community feel. Staff turnover is very low which speaks volumes. Many are the same as they were when my 10-year-old attended. A pool of fantastic bank staff knows the setting well and provides amazing cover when needed. Parents and friends often get involved in sharing skills and hobbies (e.g. visits from a firefighter and a cellist last term). Having such high-quality provisions played a big part in our decision to delay our youngest starting school. She thrived in her extra preschool year and I'm so grateful that they have all had such a happy time in this nurturing and creative environment!

Both of my children have attended playschool and have thrived in the child-led environment playschool provides. The staff are so caring and nurturing and build great relationships with their playschool families. A fantastic, nurturing environment, both of my children were always happy here.

My third child has just left Hunter's Bar Playschool and I couldn't have wished for a more nurturing experience for them. All three of my children have thrived in this setting and we have loved being part of the Hunter's Bar Playschool community. All the staff are so kind and knowledgeable. This is
the only setting with a truly child-led approach and free-flow experience. The creativity and imagination that have been developed in my children are fantastic! This setting is so important for our community to give preschool children the best possible experience to develop and thrive. As a charity, any profit goes back into the setting and contributes to the staff receiving excellent training and development. The ethos and fantastic staff make this a really special place. We are so sad not to be part of it any more!

We are really looking forward to having our child return to Playschool this September! He only started last term as he turned 2, but settled in so well which is just a testament to the manager and the team. His speech came on loads since starting which is probably a result of the mixed-aged group. Our
child has a great time at Playschool and runs in at drop off, so much so that we decided to increase his day from 1 to 2. Thanks, Hunter's Bar Playschool for everything and the care and attention you provide the kids!

We love Hunter's Bar Playschool! My two sons have thrived in this child-led, nurturing environment and have always come home beaming and full of stories of potion making and play dough, singing and stories, new friends, and having been with the most caring staff we could have imagined. We love the close
relationships that staff build with families, and we have learned so much from them about child development and our children. We especially loved how much attention but also how much freedom and independence the children here have - from baking cakes to free-flow play. We've noticed just how much both our boys have progressed in terms of coming up with games and playing independently, and their skills in cooperating and playing together.
It's important to us that Hunters Bar is a charity playschool - all profit goes straight back into resources for the children. It has a lovely community and staff go above and beyond in organising socials and celebrations outside playschool hours.
