Our daughter settled in so well and quickly to Little Crickets. We knew immediately that this was the nursery for her!
The staff are so friendly, caring and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. The communication is fantastic and we have regular updates of what our daughter has been doing during
her time at nursery - which is a lot! I don't know how they manage to pack so much into a session!
I would highly recommend anyone thinking of sending their child to Little Crickets to take a look at the wonderful setting! The rooms and outside space have fantastic facilities and activities for the children.
We're so pleased to be sending our daughter here and can't wait to see how her journey continues.

My child settled into the nursery really easily. I was so impressed with how quickly the staff got to know his personality. The range of activities the children do during the day is fantastic and my son will be well prepared for starting reception. Such a caring, calm and fun environment.

We love Little Crickets Nursery. My little one trots in without looking back and comes home telling me all about her day.
They are a really lovely team with lots of fun different activities alongside nursery-level learning which is great.
This is my 2nd child in the nursery. I would highly recommend.

The level of attentive care that my child receives at this nursery is outstanding. He comes home confident and full of stories, a testament to the fact that so much is packed into each day. He has learned and experienced so much as a result of the rich programme of activities.

Great communication and care for our child starting at this nursery. The level of understanding for what is right for each individual child is so good and the staff are lovely. We love how much time they spend outdoors and explore in nature. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I absolutely love Little Cricket Nursery, but more importantly, so too does my daughter. She went from refusing to go into her previous setting, to happily skipping off each morning after a lovely warm greeting at the front door, within a few weeks of joining. She is thriving at Little Crickets and
I am sure it is due to the very high quality and passion of the staff who genuinely care for each child. The team listened carefully and took very seriously her specific dietary requirements, they make you feel very cared for and like nothing is too much of an ask. The learning is very fun and creative and the whole experience feels very personalised and genuine. I literally cannot fault the staff, facilities and the whole experience at all and I would wholeheartedly recommend the nursery to prospective parents.

When your child comes home in spares most days you know they have had a great day. This is our experience every week.
3 of my 4 children attended Little Crickets at Springmead's Nursery and I currently have one there and planning to have my youngest join as soon as she's old enough to attend. All
four of them have proven to be very different characters but the nursery has been the right place for the 3 who've attended so far. I know this because, currently, Little Crickets atSpringmead don't cater for under 2's so mine had to attend other nurseries initially and 2 of them struggled. When they moved to Little Crickets at Springmead, to say they flourished feels like an understatement. The service offering is amazing, music, French, art, water-play, go explore, and performing arts, these children play and learn well. All nursery staff and management have been exemplary. They were patient in supporting one of my children when potty training and worked with us to get that sorted. Truly a tailored approach to early years childcare!

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.652)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.652) out of 10 for Little Crickets Nursery Frome is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.7 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.952 for Little Crickets Nursery Frome is calculated as follows: ( (80 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 84 Ratings = 4.952

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.7 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Crickets Nursery Frome is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 22 number of registered child places is 4.4, which has been reached with 7 Positive reviews. Points = 1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
