Heathside School Hampstead’s nursery offers a nurturing and vibrant atmosphere for the independent school’s youngest learners.

Children follow the EYFS curriculum, with additional elements of the Montessori method, to develop communication, physical and emotional skills. They also enjoy weekly sessions in French, Music, PE and Creative Movement.

The nursery school day is from 8:30am until 3:20pm, but wraparound care is offered so that children can attend from 8:00am to 6:00pm. They can also come just for the morning and go home at lunchtime.

Nadia Ward

Job Title: Headteacher

Nadia trained as a Montessori teacher and is passionate about making sure that every child has strong foundations and develops a love for learning. She holds a BEd (1st Class Honours) from UCL and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Management from The University of Buckingham. Nadia is also a co-opted member of the ISA’s Inclusion Committee.


A life-long learner, she recently completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship in March 2023. She is married to Jason, a psychotherapist who has a grown-up son.
