At Yarrells, the youngest children start their learning journey in Greenwood, their eco-friendly Early Years Centre, which is tucked into a snug and safe corner of the woodland site.

Children in the Early Years are at the heart of the school community and benefit from being immersed in an enriching environment. All classes are taught by specialist Early Years practitioners. They use the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) areas of learning as the basis for an over-arching and extensive curriculum.

From the tender age of 2, children enjoy specialist teaching in art, cooking, gymnastics and outdoor sport and on top of all that, their pre-school classes have dance and music, French and swimming taught by specialist practitioners. Pupils learn through a wide variety of play and creative activities and are encouraged to develop self-assurance, independence, resilience and collaborative skills.

They offer a seamless transition through Nursery to Reception and beyond in a stimulating environment that builds the foundations of learning within the Early Years Foundation Framework.

We always receive excellent communication; my child is happy and stimulated and is progressing much faster than I had anticipated. Staff are friendly, yet professional and address our individual needs. I feel that I know, very well, how my child is when she is in the setting and I'm confident with the

Our 2 year old loves Yarrells Preparatory School and Nursery! The caring staff create a warm, nurturing environment where children can thrive. We've seen our child grow in confidence and enjoy a perfect mix of creative play and early learning. The outdoor spaces are also really wonderful for exploring.
We couldn't recommend Yarrells more!

My son absolutely loves this nursery at Yarrells. It makes me feel so happy that each morning he is excited to go into nursery. All the teachers and team are fabulous. They make the children and their families feel so comfortable and welcome. It's a beautiful school and wonderful community. My son is

Yarrells creates a warm, nurturing environment. It emphasises not only academic achievement but also personal growth and resilience creating a setting where the children feel happy, safe and supported. All of the Yarrells team genuinely care, taking time to understand each child's unique needs and strengths.
They form bonds and relationships with the children to encourage trust. The school foster a sense of community making students and families feel welcomed and valued. With a focus on kindness, creativity and curiosity. Yarrells encourages children to explore their potential in a positive way.
