Our Kiddi Caru nursery in Burgess Hill is looking to appoint a Team Leader

As an inspiring Team Leader, you will form an integral part of the nursery management structure, providing professional leadership and overseeing an age range group, your team which will consist of Nursery Practitioners and Support Staff. You will provide the highest level of care, ensuring the individual needs and safety of the children are identified and met, whilst maintaining a playful and caring attitude and atmosphere.                                       

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Nursery Practitioner or Nursery Nurse to develop develop management and leadership skills and develop their career with a leading national group, with potential to grow their knowledge and skills.

You will be qualified to NVQ level 3 or above in Childcare and education with a thorough working understanding of Ofsted, the Early Years Foundation stage and Welfare requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Running of the nursery with and in the absence of the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager
  • Supporting continued growth and opportunity of the nursery by developing robust and effective parent partership programmes
  • Ensuring all staff are committed to inspire the very best outcomes for children
  • Acting as designated key person for an allocated number of children
  • Ensure you observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework
  • Developing positive partnership with parents
  • Leading, developing and managing your room staff to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Working as part of a wider management structure within the Nursery
  • Supporting team development
