Salary from £33,000 - £35,000 Per Annum 

40 hours per week all year round Monday to Friday.

Rainbows Nursery are seeking a Passionate, Fun, Creative, Nurturing and Visionary Deputy with excellent warm interpersonal skills.

Rainbow Nursery is a slice of the country within the city. The nursery is housed in a quaint spacious and bright church hall with a picturesque garden. With one larger garden which provides many hidden gems such as our enclosed mud kitchen, firepit, treehouse, climbing frame and chicken coup, the children and team experience a vast number of physical activities and interaction with natural elements. We additionally have a smaller garden with our very own pond and growing patches perfect for being up close and personal to the cycle of growth.

Indoors, the setting provides a vast number of activities which exposes children to all areas of the development matter embedded through our curriculum strains which encouraging children to be continuously curious, hands on and investigate and build a connection to themselves, others and the natural organic world.

As a Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
  • Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
  • Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
  • Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Requirements and Skills for Nursery Deputy Manager:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience of working in Early Years - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience of working in a management position - Desirable.
  • Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
  • Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
