Due to increase numbers at our nursery settings we have a vacancy for the role of a Nursery Practitioner.

Wolds Childcare is a small setting which prides itself on its generous childcare ratios. We offer a home from home environment catering for children from 3 months to 5 years in age. Our daily routine focuses on plenty of real life, outdoor based activities and situations, not just nursery based play.

We are seeking to employ a highly motivated and hardworking Nurse Practitioner or Early Years Educator, level 3 qualified. This is to join our under 2s rooms within a small day nursery. We are looking for the right person to join our friendly, warm, hardworking team to work with children aged from 3 months to 24 months. The right candidate must have an outgoing personality, be flexible, hardworking and passionate about children's learning, play and development with a sound knowledge of the EYFS. We are looking for a committed and knowledgeable person who can fit into the role.

The successful candidate will initially be working in a busy nursery environment. The candidate will be a key person and responsible for monitoring children's progress within the EYFS.

Candidate must be an effective communicator both orally and written.

You will need to demonstrate your commitment to children, treating every child as an individual and ensure their personal development needs are being met, in line with the EYFS and the nursery's approach. You will do this by ensuring your key children’s development records are up to date and fully reflect their individual progress and following thorough company policies and procedures.

Key Duties:

  • To ensure the very highest standards of child development, care and nurturing is maintained and enhanced.
  • With guidance from room managers, plan and deliver the daily activities.
  • Be able to observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development.
  • Be capable of maintaining children’s development records and writing reports.
  • To develop professional relationships with parents and carers.
  • Work alongside senior management to achieve excellent standards.
  • Maintaining a safe, secure and caring environment.
  • Be able to follow, implement and adhere to company policies and procedures.
