Join Our Nursery in Clapton, East London!

Are you a fun, friendly and professional nursery practitioner with a passion for early years education? We're looking for special people to join our small, independently run nursery in Clapton.

Successful candidates should have experience working in childcare, ideally in a nursery setting, and a solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and safeguarding procedures. Most importantly, we're looking for people who genuinely love working with children and are dedicated to providing the best care and support as they learn and grow.

At Rosemary Work East, we take pride in creating a warm and welcoming environment, not just for the children but for our families too. You'll be part of a close-knit, supportive team who share a commitment to creating a safe, engaging and nurturing space for the children in our care.

If you're ready to bring your energy, ideas and enthusiasm to our nursery and can commit to a minimum of 12 months, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Providing high-quality early years education in line with the EYFS
  • Planning and leading fun, engaging activites that encourage learning through play
  • Making sure each child's needs are understood and supported
  • Building lovely relationships with parents and keeping them informed about their child's development
  • Keeping the room safe, clean and organised so the children can play and learn freely
  • Supporting the children as they grow and develop across all seven areas of learning

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • A qualification in Early Years (e.g. Level 2 or 3) is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are required to write observations and communicate effectively with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Most importantly, you should have a genuine passion for working with children, love what you do, and enjoy being part of a team that works hard and has fun together!

Hours and Pay:

The hourly rate is dependent on experience.

The role offers flexibility with the working week:

  • A four-day week, working 8am-6pm, with one hour lunch break (36 hours per week)
  • Alternatively, a five-day week, working 8am-6pm, with a one-hour lunch break (45 hours per week)

We are happy to discuss your preferences during the interview process.
