Nursery Assistant / Apprentice

Redroofs Day Nursery & Pre-School is an OUTSTANDING setting that occupies a lovely detached ‘period’ building with large rooms and high ceilings, and many original features. The nature of the building, with its bright and airy rooms, gives our children lots of space to explore, play and learn. The setting has been totally refurbished with love and care and is a beautiful space for our children to enjoy, with a homely welcoming feel in which we nurture and care for children and their families.

The Role

We have an exciting new vacancy, we are looking for an apprentice to join our Outstanding staff team. This is a great opportunity to begin your career in Childcare, and get a Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Interacting and including children with activities, and learning.
• Complying with regulations.
• Preparing snacks.
• Working within small groups and working as part of a team.
• Meeting and greeting parents and children at the nursery.
• Making sure all children are safe and treated equally.

Qualifications:

GCSE's graded C or equivalent in English and Maths is preferred, but not essential.

Skills required:

• Patience - Children can be testing at times, so being patient, and giving the children the chance to learn is extremely important!
• Ability to work in a team - We are a busy nursery, and have many children to look after, so good communication with one another is vital!
• Wanting to have a long term career within the industry - If you are open to continuing your career in Childcare with us, we would love to give you all the tools to be the best you can possibly be!
