Job Description

The enthusiastic delivery of top quality childcare. Providing a safe environment for children. Children's learning and development. Daily, weekly and monthly checks around the nursery. Meal preparation. Developing and maintaining good relationships with local schools and the community. Taking children on trips. Supporting children’s behaviour and acting as a role model. Ensuring the environment is stimulating and appropriate, including equal opportunities.

Ensuring a secure environment, where the children are valued as individuals through a loving and child centred approach. Ensuring that the children have access to good learning opportunities throughout their time at the nursery; providing learning activities which are educational, stimulating and fun.

To deliver childcare in a way that meets parents’/carers’ needs and works in partnership with them providing high levels of customer care at all times.

All with appropriate guidance and assistance from the Management team.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Some post-qualification experience is desirable.
  • EYFS knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work well in partnership with parents/agencies.
  • The ability to organise own work and use initiative.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities.
