Foxes Bridge Farm Day Nursery is a 40 place Early years setting based onsite at Foxes Bridge Farm. We focus on nature based play, and outdoor learning. We follow a child led curiosity approach to children's development.

We have a new vacancy now available for full time, Qualified and experienced Practitioner, to join our under 2's in our brand new day nursery setting at Foxes Bridge farm in Comberton, Cambridge!

We will fully support and encourage your professional growth in this full time, permanent position. You will be working 40hrs per week, on various shift patterns between our opening hours of 7:30am-6:30pm.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support the room leader in leading the room, motivating and assisting the team, and stepping up in the room leaders absence.
  • To support the day to day responsibility for the efficient running of the setting facility.
  • To ensure that developmental records for your key group are kept up to date.
  • To support your colleagues and work as part of a team in providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children. (Ages range from 6 weeks to 13 years dependent on setting).
  • To assist in the development of an attractive stimulating range of equipment, activities and displays relevant to the age and needs of the children in the setting, which encourage independence, self motivation and eagerness to learn.
  • To treat information of matters relating to the work within the setting as confidential.
  • To ensure the highest standards of safety, hygiene and welfare whilst maintaining adequate supervision of the conduct of the children attending the setting.
  • To ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • To help support the management team to ensure that the Ofsted standards including EYFS is followed at all times.
  • To support the management team in striving to deliver an outstanding setting
  • Any other duties that may be required.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for confident Practitioners, who are looking to get their teeth into a new challenge. You will be motivated to hit the ground running and add value to our fun and hard working team. You will thrive in a busy environment, and always be on hand with new ideas and activities.

You will be confident in all areas of the EYFS and implement accordingly, and have experience in a similar role.

You must have a relevant early years qualification, ideally level 3 or above, though we will consider qualified level 2 applications.

This position is full time, 40 hours per week.

Please note the nursery will be open from 7:30am-6:30pm, Monday to Friday and so shift patterns will be rotating within these opening hours. Please make sure you can commit to early and late shifts before applying.
