We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Early Years Practitioner (Bank Staff) to join our team here at My Sunshine Day Nursery at either our nursery based in Barnes SW13 or our nursery based in Mortlake SW14

Contract: Bank staff working various flexible shifts.
Hours: Monday to Friday between 7am and 6:30pm.
Pay: £12+ per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications.
Locations: We have 2 locations. One nursery in Mortlake and the other based in Barnes. We are situated within a 5 minute walk from Mortlake Station which has excellent links to all surrounding areas of Greater London.

Who are we?
In January 2018 My Sunshine Day Nursery opened its first Nursery setting in Mortlake, followed by our second Nursery in Barnes in June 2021. We are a family Nursery run by a dedicated Management and Staff Team – all highly qualified in early years childcare. Our mantra in setting up this Nursery was to provide the best education and care for children, as well as ultimate success for our business, which comes from the quality and the consistency of the Staff team who we employ.
We care for children between the ages of 3 months and 5 years old and are committed to finding the best possible staff members. Each child’s welfare and care is at the heart of everything we do at My Sunshine Day Nursery & Pre-School.
Our ideal candidate:
Proactive person who can use their own decision making
Early Years Educator level 2 or 3 with 1 year experience in a similar role.
Knowledge and understanding of learning journeys and observations
Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation).
Passionate about childcare
Ability to engage with children
Ability to demonstrate responsibility and flexibility and use own initiative
Willingness to learn and develop your skills
Good Attitude and work ethic
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Empathetic to people and kind
Good communication skills
Key responsibilities:
Set up room and prepare daily activities
Supervise and serve food
Daily outings with children
Recording observations
Following policies and procedures
Intimate care
Engaging with parents, staff and children
To be able to work as a team and show a ‘can-do’ attitude.
To be able to build strong bonds with your key children and their parents.
To support the Senior Management Team.
To be able to plan, observe and document activities and development for your key children.
