The Cedars Nursery is well respected private day nursery based in Ashbrooke Sunderland we have been operating for over twenty years. We have three age groups, 3 months - 2 years, 2 year olds, and a pre-school which are led by room leaders. We're looking for a caring and dedicated professional to join our in-school Nursery Nurse team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about facilitating the children's learning, providing quality care and communicating with parents. The successful candidate will help to support children with a wide range of needs and interests, and will enjoy professional benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, ongoing training and career uncertainty. 

Responsibilities:

  • Take care of children of pre-school age.
  • Look after children's health, comfort and safety while they are in the nursery.
  • Provide a stimulating and safe environment for all children in the nursery.
  • Encourage the social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each child.
  • Ensure children wash their hands before meals.
  • Help each child to make choices and become more independent.
  • Assist children to develop self-help skills.
  • Prepare healthy snacks and meals for the children.
