Assistant Deputy Manager/ Third in Charge

The position would be room based with additional responsibilities and movement around the nursery to coach and develop the rest of the team.

Hours

Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Support the use and understanding of in the moment planning alongside the EYFS development matters
• Ensure that you understand your role in safeguarding children (DSL training provided)
• Work in partnership with parents as a key-person
• Manage the team effectively, to maintain the safety and well-being of the children, a happy atmosphere, and staff: child ratios at all times
• With support from the Manager coach, praise and reprimand staff where necessary. To ensure high standards are consistently achieved, following policy and practice, and that the team feel motivated and happy in their role
• Recognise when staff need/want additional support or training and make suggestions to the Manager.
• Make suggestions to the Manager of ways to improve levels of education and care across the nursery setting.
