Nursery Deputy Manager 

Salary - £35,560 Per Annum 

Looking for a deputy manager role where you can grow and develop into a nursery manager?

We are looking for someone who is passionate and dedicated to be in a deputy manager role, your role would be supporting and developing your staff team to help drive the quality and help the children get the care and education they need to thrive.

You will be joining a nursery with ambitious plans, where the staff team are stable and happy and enthusiastic about creating amazing experiences for the children within our care. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated, enthusiastic Deputy Manager who can work closely with the manager and help with growing the team and also develop yourself, you should possess great communication skills and have a calm, approachable nature.

This position would suit an experienced Deputy Manager who has previously worked in a similar environment caring for children aged between 0 – 5 years and is looking for an exciting career opportunity.

As a Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
  • Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
  • Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
  • Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Requirements and Skills for Nursery Deputy Manager:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience of working in Early Years - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience of working in a management position - Desirable.
  • Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
  • Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable
