Nursery Assistant 

Salary - £17,940m per annum 

Hours - 30 hours 

Harrow Day Nursery & Montessori offers an environment where children benefit from a combined approach of the Montessori principles and the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Based in St George’s Church Hall, an architectural gem in Pinner View, we have stunningly spacious rooms with beautiful features, where children from 3 months to 5 years can grow and play under the guidance of our qualified nursery practitioners.

A key person is assigned to each child and family, becoming an integral part in ensuring positive parent partnerships and building consistency between home and nursery life.

Nursery Assistant's main responsibilities include:

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
• Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff:child ratios
• Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
• Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent
• Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt
• Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
