Early Years Practitioner

This is a fantastic role for an Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly team in our lovely under two unit based in Wimbledon SW19. You will be joining an Ofsted rated Good nursery.

As a Nursery Practitioner you will understand, and value the positive influence that adults have on children’s learning and development, you will foster great links with parents, and strong, meaningful relationships with the children that are at the heart of this setting. 

As Nursery Practitioner you must hold Level 3 Childcare Qualifitcation or Level 2 with the williness to do your Level 3 qualification. 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

·  To lead educational programmes within the nursery to ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.

·  Supporting the development of children’s basic skills, including physical co-ordination, speech and communication.

·  To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with the team across the setting ensuring that it is reflective of the EYFS

·  To work in partnership with parents and carers

·  To follow and implement all of the policies and procedures set out by the nursery.

·  To prepare children for the transition to preschool.

·  To keep abreast with current thinking and best practice.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience: 

• A level 3 Childcare or higher qualification or Level 2 childcare with the williness to do your Level 3 qualification 
• A firm and thorough understanding of the EYFS and OFSTED outcomes, 
• A firm understanding of the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements.
