Nursery Lunch Cover Level 3 

Salary from £12.50 -  Per Hour 

Hours 20 hours Monday to Friday 

The New Barnet Day Nursery & Pre-School we are looking for a Nursery Lunch Cover to join our team. Our aim is to provide a happy, home away from home environment for all children in our care at all times.

This role is 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, helping to support covering staff lunches and support the staff with the children within the room of the babies and toddlers, creating fun activities, putting the children to sleep or having a nice, relaxing and fun story.

As a Lunch Cover, you will: 

• Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times.
• Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff: child ratios.
• Ensure children are supervised and attended to at all times, maintaining appropriate staff: child ratios.
• Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.

Essential Criteria - Qualifications/Experience:

• Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification - Essential
• Over 1 years’ experience working in Early Years - Desirable 
• Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
• Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Desirable 
• Fluent in written and spoken to English - Essential
