As a Room Leader, you want to be part of the right nursery. One where there are great opportunities to grow, develop and really make a difference while achieving the best possible outcomes for all the children in your care.

At Elm Park, we are dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow and develop to their full potential. So, if you’re an experienced and passionate Level 3 Nursery Practitioner and experienced Room Leader – or if you have transferable skills or past skills that need topping-up – now is the time to get in touch.

As Room Leader, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of your room, take responsibility for the care, well-being and safety of all children and staff, and be approachable for parents and colleagues. You’ll also play an active role in the senior management team, help to induct, train, coach, mentor and supervise Nursery Practitioners, and ensure that high standards of care and education are maintained at all times.

What you’ll need:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an early years setting.
  • A relevant childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years Educator, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and current childcare legislation.
  • Excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
  • First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications are highly desirable.

So, if you’re an experienced Room Leader who is passionate about early years education, this is a great opportunity to develop yourself professionally in an environment that nurtures staff including a thorough induction programme and ongoing training.

In return, you can expect an industry-leading salary, plus excellent benefits including:

  • Childcare
  • Company Pension
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Discounted or free food
  • Employee discounts
  • Referral programme
