We are looking to recruit an Assistant Manager to be able to:
- Lead our nursery teams to deliver outstanding care to all the
children in your setting
- Recruiting, supporting, and through your inspirational leadership,
drive our employee engagement, retention and performance in the nursery.
- Mentor, role model and encourage a diverse workforce to work at
the highest quality of early years practice to provide an
outstanding experience for all children, including children with
special education needs and/or disabilities
- Act as the Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead at the nursery, to
assist with the day to day running of the nursery and management of
safeguarding and child protection policies
- Work in partnership with Management to identify succession plans
for the nursery team and nurture, create and continuously develop a
pipeline of high performing colleagues, building the strongest
talent pool in the sector
- Work with Director and Management teams to identify and implement
plans and strategies to deliver FTE growth within the nursery,
optimising information in the public sector and working alongside
the other nursery to support and promote each other, and any
additional nursery in the group.
- Through the management of the nursery and cost efficiency in line
with staff ratio requirements, to deliver and exceed the annual budget
- Engage with the Local Authority to understand the local offer, to
support practice in all areas of the nursery
- Know your policies and procedures, when to review and update using
the latest legislation, sharing with staff ensuring they are aware
of updated policies.
- Regularly review and add to the risk assessment data base.
- Ensure all new Ofsted updates are read, any changes that require
action are made and added to the Ofsted folder
