Salary:  £27,580.80  Per Annum

Full Time - 40 hours per week. Choose between 4 days (36 hours) or the standard 5 days (40 hours) schedule. We aim to provide flexibility to accommodate your needs. please note salary may change with less hours

Are you passionate about early years education and keen to make a meaningful contribution? The Dulwich Day Nursery & Pre-School, a proud extension of the Family First Group, is seeking a skilled Nursery Practitioner Level 2 to join our vibrant team. In this capacity, you will act as a key figure for a designated group of children, overseeing their daily routines, engaging with parents, and crafting an environment that fosters their development and learning.

This position mandates a commitment of 36-40 hours per week and requires a valid Level 3 Childcare Qualification.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.
  • Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in the nursery and promote these daily in every routine.
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery, and the safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
  • Maintain strictly professional relationships and report any complaints or concerns to management in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Facilitate a strong key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and cover all children daily when colleagues are absent.
  • Attend regular team meetings to ensure that you remain updated on key priorities, changes, developments and regularly review company policies and procedures.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 2 childcare qualification - essential
  • Fluent in written and spoken English - essential
  • Knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - desirable
