Deputy Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy Manager to support our Nursery Manager in the running of our thriving nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and an excellent understanding of early childhood education. The role will be room based and time will be sent supporting the team in all areas, and stepping up in the manager's absence. The nursery is open 7:30 to 6:30 all year round, closing for bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New year. 

This role requires excellent communication skills both written and verbally, as well as the ability to manage a team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manager with day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children.
• Lead and supervise nursery staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as safeguarding policies.
• Maintain accurate records of children's activities, attendance, and developmental milestones.

Experience

• Experience in leading a team is essential.
• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
