Job Location: Holly House Day Nursery, Mayfield Avenue, Walkden, M28 3JF

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working person with a passion for caring and educating young children.

Our nursery opens from 7.30am and closes at 6pm and you will work on a shift basis, between those times. The nursery is within walking distance from Walkden Town Centre.

We have a huge outdoor area and would like someone passionate in supporting play outdoors in all weathers.

We welcome applications from candidates with a minimum level 2 childcare and education qualification.

Your main day to day duties include (please note the list is not exhaustive):

  • Follow EYFS framework
  • To maintain and follow all policies and procedures
  • Reporting for duty on time and maintain regular attendance, understanding the need for consistency for young children
  • Maintaining health and safety; which includes assisting in providing a safe, supportive and caring environment for children in the nursery
  • To ensure good hygiene standards are maintained at all times. Including nappy changes and appropriate daily cleaning
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • To observe and document children's development and progress and enhance learning opportunities in the moment . The nursery uses Famly software to document children's learning.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with your staff team and parents
  • To create a fun, enabling environment
  • Build and maintain strong parent partnerships
  • To maintain confidentiality about all issues relating to children and their families; your own and other staff members issues and any other management or operational issues
  • Willingness to undertake further training

·  Successful applicants will require two satisfactory references and a clear enhanced DBS check.
