Room Leader

We require a qualified and experienced level 3 or equivalent Room Leader to join our team, working with 2's and 2-3's.  This role is full-time. 

Immanuels Day Nursery and Pre-school has been operating since 2006 and registered for 52 children. Our core opening hours are 7.30am – 6.30pm, Monday to Friday,  51 weeks of the year, with other flexible options of attendance.

We are at number 1 Haling Park Road, off the corner off the A23 Brighton Road in South Croydon.

There is a welcoming unit for babies, from 3 months to 12 months, and base rooms for 1-2 years, 2-3- and 3–4-year-olds.

We have a well-resourced gardens for the various age groups. , and a separate outdoor space for under two’s.

The individual needs of the child is taken into account when organising activities, and we use the Famly app, for observations, reporting meals, sleep and toileting in addition to activities and any other information.

We have experienced and qualified staff, which includes a Qualified Teacher & Trainer, Degree holders, NNEB, CACHE.

As every child is a unique person, at Immanuels we provide a learning environment that awakens, enables and enhances your child’s potentials.

We work closely in partnership with parents, using a secure online learning journal for observations, next steps, in your child’s journey with us at Immanuels, and in building solid foundations in their formative years.

We are registered for the 2, 3 & 4-year-old Government Funding, including the 30 hours Government extended hours.

About the role:

To assist the Room Leader/Nursery Manager in leading a team of nursery workers who will maintain the smooth day to day running of Immanuel’s Day Nursery.

Be committed to working professionally, and responsibly, as an individual and as a member of a team.

Duties:

• Supervising children during meal times, feeding children where applicable, toilet training, changing nappies, comforting children if distressed and to encourage children to rest when necessary.
• Ensuring children are kept clean at all times, children’s noses wiped, clean faces, hands and clothes. 
• To ensure routines, activities, assessments and observations are completed daily.
• To follow all childcare and health and safety policies and procedures promoting personal hygiene with all age groups.
• To participate in ensuring the base room is kept clean and tidy at all times.

Location: We are located at 1 Haling Park Road, off the corner of the Brighton road, the A23, a strategic transport link into and out of London.

East Croydon Station is 10 minutes away and we are a few minutes away from Croydon Town centre. There are regular buses that ply the route including 119,166,405,407,60, to and from East Croydon Station, Central Croydon and surrounding areas.
