Immanuels Day Nursery are currently looking for a Deputy Manager. This is a great opportunity for a passionate Senior Early Years Practitioner or experienced Manager to Join our Nursery.

’Immanuels Day Nursery & Preschool is based in South Croydon, off the A235 Brighton Road. We are opposite the Whitgift Foundation school, with off road drop off and pick up. There is free street parking in the surrounding roads, and electric car charging bays.

The nursery is well served by public transport with East Croydon, South Croydon, Purley Oaks and Sanderstead train stations. Bus routes 60, 119, 166, 405 bus stop is a few minutes’ walk from the nursery.

We offer high quality childcare services from 7.30am – 6.00pm., full & part time attendance, including school or term time sessions.

There is a welcoming unit for babies, from 3 months to 12 months, and base rooms for 1-2 years, 2-3- and 3–4-year-olds.

We have a well-resourced gardens for the various age groups. , and a separate outdoor space for under two’s.

The individual needs of the child is taken into account when organising activities, and we use the Famly app, for observations, reporting meals, sleep and toileting in addition to activities and any other information.

We have experienced and qualified staff, which includes a Qualified Teacher & Trainer, Degree holders, NNEB, CACHE.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager who is passionate, supportive, hardworking and able to progress our nursery forward. 

You will already have some experience of managing staff in a Nursery room and understand the busy nursery environment and enjoy those challenges. You must have a professional work ethic, be hard working whilst maintaining appropriately friendly relationships, and possess the ability to emotionally engage the staff team.

As our deputy manager you will be leading an excellent team of practitioners, you will have autonomy to progress the nursery and be instrumental in creating a high quality setting where all children can thrive.

Our opening hours are 7.30am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday. We are closed on all Bank Holidays, and 1 week over Christmas.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • • Full and relevant Level 5 Childcare qualification (NVQ5
  • EYTS
  • QTS
  • B.ed or above). Alternatively
  • you will have more experience and a L3 qualification.
  • • Have a minimum 5 years post qualification experience within a childcare setting
  • • Great passion for child development and a good working knowledge of the EYFS 0-5 years
  • • Experience of working in a Management role
