Senior Early Years Practitioner

If you are offered a Senior EYP role, you will receive a £500 recruitment bonus after successfully completing your 3 month probation period. 

We are looking for an inspirational Senior Practitioner to join our  Acorn Nursery at Westcroft, Milton Keynes. Based within the retail area of Westcroft (4 miles from Central Milton Keynes), the nursery is perfectly situated so the children can be part of the local community. They are often seen accessing the local amenities such as the library, shopping in the shops, participating in activities with the parish council, as well as walking to a beautiful forest school area and the local parks. This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern between 7:15am - 6.15pm.

In this role, you will be providing high-quality care and learning experiences. You will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and enabling environment that encourages children to explore, discover and develop a love for learning. Working closely with parents and carers, you will help build strong relationships to support each child's individual needs.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated individual with a minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 6 or gradual-level qualification would be desireable) You will have experience of working in an Early Years setting, a good knowledge of teh EYTS framework and safeguarding procedures and a genuine entusiasm for outdoor learning and creative play. Previous experience of leading a room or mentoring a team is desirable, as this role includes supporting and motivating colleagues and occasionally deputising for the management team.
