We are looking for a passionate, friendly and hard-working Senior Lead Practitioner to join our nursery team based at Chestnut Nursery School -  Chesterton, CB4 1RW.

The Role

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, following a shift pattern. Chesterton is open between the hours of 7.45am-6.30pm

Requirements

The successful applicant will need to have…

·  Great understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework (EYFS)

·  Strong passion for a child-centred approach to play and learning

·  Experience

·  Level 2/3 qualified

·  Prepared to have lots of fun in the work place (and out at company events)

·  Work well within a team

·  Excellent communication skills; written and verbal

·  Excellent organisation skills and time-management

Key Duties

As a Senior Lead Practitioner your responsibilities are…

·  Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS

·  Promoting and supporting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues

·  Take necessary steps to safeguard all who access the setting, adhering to the safeguarding policy

·  Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times

·  Flexible in working hours if required.

·  Support daily routines.

·  Follow policies and procedures.

·  Light cleaning duties.

·  Maintain a high level of supervision.

·  Maintain confidentiality.
