The New Barnet Day Nursery & Pre-School

Nursery Lunch Cover Level 3 

 £12.50 per hour

Hours 20 hours Monday to Friday 

The New Barnet Day Nursery & Pre-school is ideally located between High Barnet Tube station and New Barnet Mainline station, offering a convenient 6 minute walk to the nursery with easy access to both the M25 and M1. We also provide street parking, making staff access hassle-free. Set in Beautiful grounds, we are proud to offer a large and spacious garden, providing ample space for outdoor learning and play.

This role is 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, helping to support covering staff lunches and support the staff with the children within the room of the babies and toddlers, creating fun activities, putting the children to sleep or having a nice relaxing and fun story.

As a Lunch Cover, you will: 

  • Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times.
  • Understand the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS and staff: child ratios.
  • Ensure children are supervised and attended to at all times, maintaining appropriate staff: child ratios.
  • Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development.

Essential Criteria - Qualifications/Experience:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualification - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience working in Early Years - Desirable 
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Desirable 
  • Fluent in written and spoken to English - Essential
