The Role
We are looking for a passionate, friendly and hard-working childcare practitioner to join our nursery team based at Chestnut Nursery School @ Sue Bramley, IG11 0LG.
This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, following a shift pattern. Sue Bramley is open between the hours of 7.45am-6pm
The successful applicant will need to have knowledge of the Equality Act 2010, Children & Families Act 2014, the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014, The SEND Code of Practice 2015 and the Early Years Foundations Stage Statutory Framework. As SENDCo you are a key member of the nursery team, supporting children with additional needs to have full access to all the learning opportunities they nursery has to offer.
Key Duties:
· Supporting the delivery, monitoring and recording of IEP targets
· Work 1:1
· Liaising with outside agencies.
· Building relationships with the children and their families.
· Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues
· Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of the children at all times
· Take necessary steps to safeguard all who access the setting, adhering to the safeguarding policy
· Flexible in working hours if required.
· Support daily routines.
· Follow policies and procedures.
· Supporting the children and staff members.
· Light cleaning duties.
· Maintain a high level of supervision.
· Maintain confidentiality.
· Keeping up to date with developments with SEND policies and documents
Requirements:
· Qualified Level 2/3
· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
· Experience
· Prepared to have lots of fun in the work place (and out at company events)
· Work well within a team
· Excellent organisation skills and time-management
