Nursery Deputy Manager 

Salary - £35,000 Per Annum 

40 hours per week

Monday - Friday all year round

Little Munchkins is a beautifully designed, purpose-built nursery located in Hounslow. This Ofsted-rated Good nursery is conveniently situated just a 10-minute walk from Osterley train station, offering easy access by both public transport and car, with parking available right outside.

Our nursery features spacious, light-filled rooms and a large, fully resourced garden, complete with a climbing frame and slide, providing abundant opportunities for outdoor play and learning. This engaging environment encourages children to immerse themselves in imaginative and real-world play, supporting their growth and development. We embrace the Montessori philosophy to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters independence and curiosity.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. A full, relevant Level 3 childcare qualification is required.

Nursery Deputy Manager main duties and responsibilities*:

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times.
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery.
  • Assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication and ensure care plans are thorough and up to date for children or staff with health conditions.
  • Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
  • Promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality, and consistency.
  • Inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file.
  • Undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff, and families.

Requirements and Skills for Nursery Deputy Manager:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience of working in Early Years - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Over 1 years’ experience of working in a management position - Desirable.
  • Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
  • Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding – Desirable.
